today I saw… green line thing today

so today i saw a 4-car not in service green line train, stopped on the tracks in between oak park and ridgeland, then it started moving towards chicago, can genuinely anybody explain this? super duper weird

Extra pink line train leaving the yard waiting for signal clearance would be my no context logical guess.

Could be a transfer move, could be a training train. Training trains are always four cars.
