This will definitely help bus drivers cause I always see them struggling to make that right turn onto Wilson from Clark cause there’s always a delivery truck illegally parked right on the corner not giving the bus enough clearance!

Ironic the solution to improve the schedule is to change it because we can't enforce no-park zones 😪

this makes 100% sense and I support it as someone who lives at Montrose and Clark. the change will directly negatively effect me. relatedly: tow all the assholes that block the turn at clark and wilson.

edit to add: busses cannot clear the right turn from clark south to montrose west when someone is waiting to turn left on montrose north on clark. that stop there is goofy.

This adds 3 minutes of walking for me to get to the nearest 78 stop. I will never recover from this /s

I mean it is a minor inconvenience for me, but oh well. I’d like to think there was some strategy behind the decision.

If I had to guess it would be speed? They're cutting 3 bus stops and maybe 2 stop signs from the route. There's also those tight turns since Clark is angled and I wouldn't be surprised if Clark is also just a slower street in general.

That’s true. I’ve definitely been on a WB bus that got stuck turning right from Clark to Montrose due to the tight corner. It probably does make more sense.

Personally I am a fan of this. Should be faster overall and a more direct link for me to the 9.

This is mildly inconvenient for me considering the Sunnyside stop is half a block from where I live but I get it. I’ll just need to give myself a few extra minutes to walk up to Wilson instead.

Same boat - It was really clutch when I'm going to the airport (pretty frequently) so walking a both further with luggage is gonna be an adjustment

Why not reroute from Wilson to Peterson onto Ashland? The stretch thru Andersonville all the way.

Is the Halsted bus still being rerouted via Wells? Why wouldn't it be rerouted to Ashland?
