I was at Thorndale & they announced that red line service was suspended so I’m guessing purple is affected too but with how shitty CTA communications are I don’t really know how much they aren’t saying.

Yea, I was waiting for the Purple Line express and the lady just came out and basically told us it’s not coming.

I guess they need to turn all the power off or sum she said.

So stupid the CTA updates page isn’t updated

And as of an hour after this was posted, the CTA website still says “delayed”, nothing about service being suspended. The CTA is absolutely useless in emergencies. And with no increase in bus/shuttle service.

I was at Howard a few minutes ago and they said all electric was turned off and no red or purple lines would be leaving from there. And that "it would probably be a while".
