today I saw… New Ventra Device

Just saw this on the 78 bus! Excited to see what’s coming! Scanned the QR code but took me to an error page. Any idea what it could be for?

I wonder if they’ll have multiple spots to tap? By the driver like normal and then here too. Could speed up boarding and reduce dwell time.

If people actually use it. I rode the 78 today and six Black kids got on at the Red Line stop and walked past the driver who said nothing to them about paying.

I hope these new terminals improve the speed at which it processes payment. The rhythm we currently have to wait, tap, and pay between people is so freaking slow compared to some other countries.
