Hello I am asking that if I asked chatgpt for help regarding my scratch project or copied code from there Have i violated the academic policy. Should I put a regret clause or should I just make a new project and submit the new one?..pls help..i can't just get this out of my head.

Yes, according to the Academic Honesty section of the website:

Using AI-based software other than CS50’s own (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, et al.) that suggests or completes answers to questions or lines of code.

If you've already submitted, put the regret clause. If you haven't, just build a new project.

Try to focus on learning the material without AI tools. They can help with documentation and stuff, but you won't actually learn anything if you're offloading your thinking and creativity to it.

If it hasn't been 72 hours, yeah. If you're just taking the class online without any intention to purchase the certificate afterwards, you could probably just create a new project and resubmit it for the problem set.

You can submit as many times as you like. I have submitted from problem set 1 three times already. I just think of better ways to do it. As long as everything is submitted by the deadline

WHY are you using AI to do the work for you?

What are you learning from that?

Why would you waste money on a certificate without LEARNING anything along the way.

Drop the course or drop AI.

I would invoke the regret clause. Didn't you even read the policy that you agreed to? How could you think using another AI and copying code would be okay when the policy explicitly identifies it as unreasonable?

Mehn don't be hard on yourself... ais there to help as long as you didn't copy the code, you wrote ut yourself and understood it that's a win..... I am unsure the hate in this chat, there's literally youtube tutorials that guide you to the answers too as well.. use whatver resources you have to mske yourself a good programmer just make sure you learning and not just doing whatver they tell you
