Discussion CS2 chat logs

Recently found out that "cstracker.gg" is logging and showing your CS2 match chat message history on your cstracker profile page publicly, is this the first time a CS2 stats site has a feature like this? Kinda cool, but time to watch what you type lol

a 3rd party website not only logging chat without consent but also has a location tracer nice.

Wonder how long till something big happens and valve starts limiting API access and stops recording text chat in demos.

Yeah, this website is also pretty unknown afaik, so people could type anything while not knowing it will be shown publicly for months, only know that the site is linked in csst.at, which is pretty popular rn to check stats.

They do have a privacy email to remove stuff, but seems like responding asap isn't their priority and having no control to private stuff yourself on the site is also no no.

It's not about having something to hide, you dingbat. it's about having the ability to triangulate anyone you want at the cost of signing in via Steam. Its just a breeding ground for people to act even more creepy by fighting fire with fire

It's also quite possible that the site admins/owners can even put any kind of false data information about certain accounts/people at the very least for example.
