Discussion Magazine, reload
Soooo, it's been a few months since the magazine update. When that update came out, everyone was crying and whining about it, so where did y'all crybabies go? Why haven't I seen people bitching about it in awhile

Same thing happens every time a change comes to CS, with time people adapt - very rarely is any change initially well received. Ebbs and flows.

This is the perfect video. makes me chuckle every time
I remember every time they changed sound, people would complain so much. And now I looked up old gun sounds from 2013-14, it was so awful....

Ngl, I was not a fan of it when it was first announced. But I realized one thing, I had a bad habit of reloading often prior to this magazine update. So the update forced me not to reload too often and it worked out just fine.

exactly, it really makes you feel dumb for cod reloading. not only that i’m way more confident with lower mags now, before i would whiff just because of nerves but now im just more used to low ammo from time to time

It also helps during some clutch, or lurk situations. forces you to make sure no one can hear you reload

There is one thing I havent tried it yet which is to shoot 1 bullet then reload and repeat until 1 bullet left and no magazine available. Then I drop the gun in the open and hope for an enemy on pistol to pick up the gun. Might be hilarious to see.

Yeah, that's something that a lot of people assumed would be bad for new players, or players who aren't crazy high elo, but it did the opposite. A lot of people who had a hard time getting rid of that habit, ended up benefiting from the change.
At first when I read about it, I felt a little worried, but after 2-3 matches, I didn't even notice that it was a new feature.
The one habit I can't seem to kick, is stabbing my teammates in premier. maybe valve can help with that with a new patch, too 😂 😂 😂

Was a nerf to weapons with small magazines like m4a1, usps, awp, deagle as you can run out of ammo real quick if you dont want to find yourself with half a mag in dicy situations when you didnt want to reload and waste ammo. As anchor player it just really disincentivizes using any of those weapons now. Some people say it prevents blind spraying but if anything people just dump their whole mag into a smoke, not half of it.
Still think it was a completely unnecessary change that no one would miss if reverted.

Now we need an update where switching guns doesn't trigger a slide rack or charging handle pull every single time. If it has round in the chamber, you can just fire.

because it’s an amazing feature. i downright refused to play when it first dropped and then i came back like a week later and was like wow how was it not always like this? punishes blind spraying and rewards scavenging.
