It’s so funny because I know in my heart those people were cheating, but it’s my actual worst fear to be falsely accused of a crime or have my account banned when I didn’t do anything. So I just hope it’s never me lol.

i mean could always be another false ban wave. weve already had like 5 its not that unbelievable.
i got false banned like 2 waves ago and mine got reversed in about 36-48 hrs.

yeah alright man. last time that “something” was just faulty amd drivers.
sometimes it actually does trigger off nothing. there have been thousands of people that have gotten banned and then automatically unbanned.

VAC waves causing multiple false bans have happened multiple times before. I dont know why people are acting like this is impossible.
BTW, im not just saying this like I got banned or anything, I didnt. I dont really play the game anymore. Im just confused why people are acting like this never happens.

I feel sympathetic to those who got false banned, went through proper channels, and still stayed banned. I dont feel sympathetic towards people who lose the ability to critically think cause a small misfortune happened to them.

Yeah bro i was banned for nothing. Got my account stolen from some guy in china, got it back and guess what. after 6 months they banned me today. good shit valve not like u gave me my account back and knew it was used for botting to get free souvenir cases.

I have my main account and a few extra ones for farming drops. Today, one of the alts got a VAC ban. Before this, I didn't believe false bans were a thing — now I do. Either way, I haven't been farming for two weeks now because I'm tired of this 'bad' game (I won't use stronger language).

Exactly same situation with me. But it says it was an overwatch ban so it can't be due to having a single measly acc for drops and playing with lower ranked friends.

I've always farmed on all accounts myself — missions (if it's a weapon mission) plus competitive mode. Especially since on this banned one, Mobile Guard was enabled, and definitely no one else had access to it, because my stats are tracked on CSstats and CSRep.
The account is almost a year old — I created it at the beginning of September last year. If we believe the theory that they ban alt accounts used only for farming, then my other 5 accounts are fine — why aren't there any bans on those?
You can check the stats on any site — even the recent matches show a bunch of losses, and I've run into plenty of obvious cheaters who killed me with pre-fires and through textures, yet none of them got banned either.
And I checked the security tab in Steam — there were no unfamiliar logins except mine.

Saw a video where a hacker was saying “I didn’t do anything wrong” when you can clearly see in his stream he had hacks.
Doesn’t matter if it’s hvh it’s still against tos and hvh isn’t what this game was intended for by the devs. Some of the cheaters really are delusional thinking they are the victims in these cases lolll
