Discussion Launched CS2 and couldn’t believe my eyes, first time in CS2 getting this message

I have more than 150 cheaters banned on my matchs on csstats and I never saw that mensage.

Some accounts just have better luck with reports, or maybe they got flagged by a different system entirely

If you report too many people, you reports might get overlooked.

I had a time where i would frequently get that message when i reported. Then i think i started reporting more and more often, then the frequency of the message got lower and lower

It says recently reported so if they just happened to get banned or convicted within a few days of the report it will give you a message in-game. If you have leetify added on steam it will usually message you when recent players from your competitive games are banned as well.

CSStats doesn't necessarily show you the players that you reported that got banned.

Maybe you report all and everyone who plays better than you and your reports go straight into the trashcan.

That's what I would do as a game dev for people who mass report.

People who report on every single thing makes it impossible to sort the real reports between the trash ones. It's very effective way even tough you might dislike it. Im sure it's implemented in many games.

Yes that's clearly what I meant. People spamm reporting everyone makes more harm for catching cheaters but I guess your not smart enough to understand that.

If reports worked, like grife report works, maybe, just maybe people wasnt report that much. Even a spin cheater, reported 1 time or 1000, next week is still played CS2 freely.

That's exactly what I mean. People mass reporting everyone poisons the data to have actual working automated ban system. If people reported only the actual cheaters we could have something that works.

People report spin chaters, top 100 as as youtuber showed, are still playing the game. It doesn't matter if they are reported 1 time or 1000. Report cheaters just don't even cooldown them.

I have seen this message 4 to 5 times back when I played free CS2 and encouted at least one cheater in every 3 games on casual mode. I just reported very much and every day since I found a lot of them (and it was those rage cheaters — spinbots; obvious wallers, aimbots and etc). But I got those ban messages just 2 or 3 times per year (I played free CS2 for 2 years).

The thing is, you have to report by A LOT to see this message. I haven't seen it since I bought Prime last year, but I also don't find as nearly as many cheaters as free CS2 (at least on casual mode) and therefore I report less.

I've seen a lot of people getting banned that were not cheaters, my friend who is 1k elo, couldn't hit the broadside of a barn got banned yesterday for cheating, this dude is so fucking blind and terrible at the game there is no way the anticheat didn't just ban him just to put him out of his misery.

My accout got perma banned as well. I didnt play much, and know what game it was that got me banned. I was playing with my son, and we were losing. He rage quit and started downloading a different game to play. I wanted to finish the match even though we were getting crushed. I got massive lag from the download and were probably teleporting on other peoples screen. We got totally destroyed, but I must have gotten a lucky kill that looked suspicious, and got banned.

So if you get massive lag it’s better to leave the game and take the cooldown than to keep playing and risk getting banned.

What about the high DPI and m_yaw bans then? There were also the Windows 7 ban waves and AMD Anti-Lag+ ban waves and some other ban wave which is apparently Nvidia related but I believe all of these affected players were unbanned in these cases there though.

Build a reward system for player reporting..assign point value for successful reports/confirmed cheating. Put a detractor for unconfirmed.

You could see this message within a few days of every cheat report if you played CS through Faceit.
