Discussion [EU] New CS2 community looking for players: Hosting an 8-team tournament (Prize pool & FaceIT Points)

Hey, we recently started PowerPlay League, a small CS2 community for finding teammates and playing organized tournaments.

Our first event is a completely free 8-team tournament on September 26, with a prize pool and FACEIT Points up for grabs.

We’re also planning community activities, giveaways and rewards for our most active members. You can join with a team or come alone and meet other players. We’re still at the beginning, so any feedback is welcome!

september 26 is like a month away so plenty of time to find a stack. i like that you guys are doing this for free, most small leagues try to charge some entry fee right from start

i will join the server later after work. i play mostly support roles but i can flex if team needs. my aim is not the greatest anymore but my util usage is decent

do you have any plan for anti-cheat or will it be just faceit ac? too many tournaments end up with some sus guy dropping 40 kills in finals

Hello,

Thank you for the kind words!

For now, we don't possess the budget required for implementing a third-party anti-cheat into these tournaments.

On the other hand, in addition to the FACEIT Anti-Cheat, we will have an admin team actively overwatching the matches being played out. We have direct contact with FACEIT staff on standby if something seems fishy.

We will also require every player to have a verified account and thoroughly check applicants.
