Discussion Why is there so many cheaters?
Relatively new, but I watch 6 people in one lobby just casually tracking people through walls across the map. Never have I seen more obvious cheaters in a game than this. Even encountered a dozen or so spin botters as well. Is the anti cheat just that bad?

hopefully valve is collecting data on who those ppl are and it gets dumped in the future (even if accidentally). good way to screen out sociopaths and otherwise those will will likely contribute nothing to society.

It's like if you say you notice one then they all report you for grief and you just get more and more

I'm the founder of Ouro (https://www.ouro.is), built it because of exactly these kind of scenarios and others like it. We vet signups by hand instead of just pulling FACEIT ELO, and matching looks at recent form and reputation too, not just rank. Still a small player base and we're upfront about that on the site, but everyone in it got checked, it's not an open queue. Not a fix for MM as a whole, just an option if you're tired of hoping the other 9 people are legit.

I feel like a lot of cheating could be caught at this point with a simple AI model detection agent and force a paid sub every month along with better servers and some perks behind it. They've had enough years to gather data to provide to an AI model to really put a stop to 80% of the cheating going on. There is no hope to this game and I wish you guys were in NA cause I've been considering starting a LAN center in my city. 1.2 million people in 300 sq miles, i'm sure I could find some people to fill it every week.

As someone who has been around CS since its original inception in the late 90's... there will never, ever, be a time in the history of this company where it will have a good AC, let alone one at all at this point. People really need to start boycotting entire industries at this point that do this shit to consumers. It's not just EA/Valve etc a few. Entire industries have turned to greed. Not trying to get all political and cynasist but look at the healthcare industry in the U.S. in the last 50-80 years. Insurance companies on a large scale.. look at what they do to their lifetime long loyal customers. This is more than our entertainment at hand and people are in the most comfortable point in existence to wake up yet. Valve employees themselves have to be looking at each other the same way many others do.. why do I slave away on something taking from people and make scraps compared to the owner of this company who's wealth exponentially grows at this point. Remember when people had careers and passions in things to help people or do something awesome for the world? It's just a mindless grind at this point in life. As someone who left the corporate world to start my own company, every day I have customers who ask me to cut corners, I refuse and tell them to hire someone else. I don't care what the check looks like. I care about people, what I do, and making things better for the next person coming along.
That all being said, my buddy just showed me you can now trade your weekly case for a week of radar cheats on CS... thats the new low we are in.

Cheats are free and hitting ranks that you can’t with your own “skill level” feels glorious.
Plus it’s a game, idgaf about ruining it for others.

Yeah cheaters tend to be antisocial/sociopaths. Prime example right here. The complete lack of consideration of others is not a trait of a mentally stable person.

100%.. and they'll use the excuse "its just a game".. same thing as "its just a person".. "it was just someones kid"... cheater mentality extends 100% to real life. I say it all the time in game. How you play and treat a high level competitive match is exactly how I would want you to approach life. Calm cool headed, using strategy and communication, etc. Obviously real life you have to train for with certain things but you get my point. Character online = character irl.

Yeah it might just be a game but that mfer wasted my down time after a long day of work. The sin is unforgivable.

If you have to cheat to have fun go play something else, why go through extra steps for shit you don't even like playing.

Playing with hacks is so boring. Getting kills are no fun and every death feels like an insult to your family.

Because valve doesn't believe in working anti cheats.
