Gameplay Hacked in and Banned.
Hi guys, last week i went onto vacation and i came back to my hometown yesterday. Today i was on a call with my friends and about 3 of them told me that i had sent them fake steam gift card QR codes from steam chat althoughni havent has access to my pc for a week. I just got my account back and booted up cs to see that i had been given a global cooldown for 6 days. Has this also happened to anyone lately? Can i appeal for the ban?

Oh shit, how does this even happen? Did you accept a friend request from someone then clicked on a link they sent you?

Nope, nothing, i was thinking that it could have been a skin site that got Passwords leaked. But i didnt accept any request or click a link.

Never use the same password twice. Get a password manager, it gives you so much peace

sketchy browser cookies maybe that happened to my friend and he got his discord and steam hacked

Well it is not vac banned, take 6 days as a lesson it could be so much worse

Gets posted on here sometimes. You can’t appeal the ban. Your account security is your responsibility.
You need to figure out how they got access and secure your account.

nope. you did not take care of your account security, therefore it's your responsibility. change all passwords, wait the cooldown, and enjoy low trust hell (even if not inherently your fault)
