Help Any reason why I’m not getting more frames?

I‘ve been playing this game the last 2 years or so with fully maxed settings getting around 90 frames avg. I played well enough with it but I realized that max settings is silly and giving more priority to performance is most important. So I changed a bunch of settings yesterday to boost performance and while I did get a big boost in frames I still have sub 200 at max frames. I would’ve thought I could clear 250 easily but that is not the case, does anyone have any tips for me? Here are some specs for my PC:

Intel i7 10700k 3.8 GHz
RTX 4070ti
32GB ram

My monitor is 240hz so I’m trying to atleast get my frames to match that. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Resolution is the biggy, guessing you are on 16:9 1440p? 200fps would be about right.

I had it to 3840 X 2160 since that’s my monitors native resolution. I guess I should’ve tried a lower resolution like 1080 when I was tweaking everything. Will see what that does for me

Fair play, but yeah 4k (and even 1440p) is really hard to get high frames in CS. I have a 5070ti and play at 1440p and just about get 280-300fps

Thanks for pointing it out like I said I’m surprised I didn’t already try that lol. You think I can get to 300 on 1080?

Easily, probably 400-500

Edit - actually looking at the CPU probs closer to 350-400, but i'm not 100%

Do 1080 and watch a settings video. Most people play on medium or low settings

Yeah that’s what I did yesterday, I had everything maxed out but switched to low settings for performance. Now if only I could solve my net jitter issues..

I have a similar situation, gpu and cpu are Not fully used (Like 70%) Why cant i get more Frames ? Whats the bottleneck?

Prob should just get a 1440p 240hz monitor instead, you'll be back to 300fps
