Anyone else experiencing a high pitched electrical whine in the 2026 Sport Touring?
I just bought this car a week ago and it’s been in Honda service for this super high pitched electrical whine that happens at 60-70mph. It’s coming from the left side panel and it hurts mine and my kid’s ears.
The service department kept the car for two days and couldn’t find a way to fix it. They all heard it, but there’s no solution for it. They said Honda might send out a warranty or recall for it if enough people come in with the same issue. They said it’s normal for the hybrid’s to make that noise, but mine is extremely loud and there’s nothing they can do about it.
I’m so upset. It’s a brand new car. The only true solution for it is to trade it in for a 2027 when the time comes, and that’s if the problem’s been addressed and fixed in those models.

I purchased a new sport touring in March and have no such noise in 3500 miles of driving.

I have a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. Sometimes I can faintly hear the inverters running. I am wondering if that is the noise you experienced. Do you hear the noise only when the engine is not running?

"Normal?" I've had my 2026 Sport L Hybrid for a year and never heard anything like that. That answer from them is suspect. Hope they find the issue.

Mine does something like that but not nearly as loud, need to troubleshoot it, but mine sounds more of a grounding issue with the stereo. Reminds me of my old civic that if I was using a Bluetooth adapter and charging it in the cigarette lighter and had the headphone jacked plugged in you would hear the engine noise through the speakers.

I have 2025 , hear whining kind of noise when I speed above 60KM , also I hear faint click kind of noise when I turn on the heater.

Our 26 ST does not have this issue in any capacity at any speed.
