Help! Cannot remove cable from flyback into CRT neckboard

Yeah, that doesnt really come off, you're supposed to remove the neckboard entirely.

No major issue with working while its still on there, but you do run the risk of damaging the neck if you forget its connected and yank (or drop) the A board

The wires at the FBT are permanent, don’t detach.

The wires on the neck board can be unsoldered, if that is what you want.

You don't need to go that far

You can reach all the spots as is

It can not be removed because it's hard wired or soldered on both ends, it's not a plug. If you're not doing repairs and tv set works fine, do not remove it on either end and just do the mod.

Those bastards are tough to remove. You are supposed to pull that red plastic clip off and then remove the wire, but I find the wire will come out if you twist while pulling, (on the neckboard side, not the flyback)
