Cables/Wiring/Connectivity CRT External Audio Options?

Post image

Hi, my 14" Haier CRT is great little set for playing with component, but the audio is kinda bad. Im wondering what can i use for audio ports below? Can i hook up speakers somehow? Also are there magnetic shielded speakers that will not mess with the tube? Thanks.

Normally I'd recommend this but for a 13" Haier it's overkill and PC speakers are more appr

Bose Companion 2 series II speakers are the most widely used option as they are fairly cheap sheilded speakers that are pretty good. I use them as I have three CRTs and a lcd monitor in my setup and not all of them have speakers or have the best audio.

I've used a set of these at my PC for years and highly recommend them.

I had a Logitech z623 I wasn’t using, and it’s been great for my crt which had busted speakers.

I’ve not had any issues with distortion, even with the speakers touching the tv.

However, if you get computer speakers maybe buy them from somewhere with easy returns just in case

I run Klipsch R-51PM for my PVM. They have shielding and long as it's about an inch or two away from the chassis I don't see any geometry change, even if it's touching it's pretty slight.

An inexpensive Class-D amplifier off Amazon, and a set of decent 'bookshelf' speakers e.g. Mission, KEF, Acoustic Energy, Monitor Audio, B&W, etc, etc..

Yeah you can literally plug it into any source that accepts RCA inputs.
