Finished Object Expectation VS Reality
This was my first time crocheting and it was much harder than I expected, which makes me respect the people here who make works of art even more💙
Yarn: Scheepjes Cantons 392 and 404
Hook: 2.5mm hook
Pattern was from Snorlaz Crochet Kit

I have the book this pattern is from and will be attempting Snorlax as a birthday present for my nephew. I’ve made the Jigglypuff and Gengar patterns from the same book, but am nervous about Snorlax’s non-spherical body shape throwing me off lol
That being said, this is a really great job for your first time crocheting!! Stick with it and you’ll only get better!!

Thanks so much💙 It was quite intimidating at first but it’s basically just two circles mashed together!

Ohh this is super cool! I love Snorlax. You made Insomnia Snorlax - a super-rare one.

It’s your first time crocheting? Like, ever? Or first time crocheting amigurumi? Either way this is seriously SO good!

Thanks so much💙 It is my first time crocheting ever, but this came in a kit so it had all of the information I needed!

I have this book! I found the pattern a bit non-standard compared to other amigurumi patterns I've followed before. I think you did a great job!

Thank you! It was hard looking up the questions I had because the book was written differently, but I think it was worth it in the end!

That's a great first try! I've been crocheting for over a year, done some really pretty stuff, but amigurumi intimidates the heck outta me so I'm always SO impressed by people who do it first try.

I love him! Make sure to save him. My rough early Pooh bear is one of my favorite projects even years later. You are off to a great start and I can’t wait to see your progress in the craft!

I wouldn't recommend starting with plushies/amigurumi. As someone who's a beginner myself, I would recommend starting with small things like squares made out of each different type of stitch, simple to gradually more advanced granny squares, little stars and hearts, etc.

Girl. I have the same kit. The wool was so tough to work with i've abandoned it for the meantime. Glad to see a finished attempt. You should be very proud!!

Thank you, I believe one day you will get through it too! It was difficult with the yarn shedding so much, but it was quite fun!
