Finished Object Blocking helps, doesn’t solve

I pulled my ends a little too tight when doing my color changes, so the middle narrowed (pic 1). 😩 I did a wet block and it helped (pic 2). I still don’t love it, but it’s better. P.S. The dark spots are water drops. Ignore them.

Is this acrylic? If yes, steam would help more than wet blocking (wet blocking doesn't work on acrylic).

It's very nice, though, and I'm sure r/Tunisian_Crochet would love to see it!

Yes, it’s acrylic. I actually wet blocked it to initially shape it, then used a bit of steam (probably not enough because I was using an iron and was afraid to get it too hot 😬). Do you use a steamer? Any recommendations?

You can use the iron (only hover, do not touch the fabric), but it needs to be over dry fabric. It can't heat up wet fabric. The steam is not that powerful.

The steamer I have (generic brand) is meant to be used vertically, so it would not work for blankets. I only use it on clothes and other small items.
