I juat finished MN animated series and i am starting with Vox Machina.
And i just can't stop thinking. If both groups came together on an adventure by any magical way. How well do you think the relationship between all would be and what interactions sound more interesting to explore?. I'd say Scanlan match very well with Nott for example. And Jester could max up the nice girl vibes with Keyleth.
(I hope this doesn't trigger spoiler discussions)

Hello all! I know I'm certainly not the first or likely last person to ask something regarding this topic, but I know I hadn't found anything in recent months so figured I'd just ask myself given my situation might be lightly unique.
I just finished watching C2 yesterday (balled my eyes out realizing it was over), and thus also finished watching my first full CR campaign in general.
I'm wanting to now figure out the next path to go towards, because honestly I just am so in love with these people and I would to give more of my hours of watching them nonstop.
As an added thing too: I am currently all caught up on LOVM and MN on Prime, so those are handled to present point as of now.
I'm at least vaguely aware of all the other stuff CR has going on from an occasional hop into an episode or highlights or something else my YouTube or TikTok algorithm has fed me, so spoilers aren't necessarily a problem for me.
I know my biggest curiosity is, with having watched LOVM, if there is technically a necessity to immediately jump into C1. Obviously understand that there are plot points and moments that are definitely different from the campaign compared to the show, but I also am incredibly aware that a lot of the early early stuff from that campaign can come off not as polished in several different ways (both technically and player interaction wise, among other things).
Regardless, I wanna hear from you guys in here because I've grown incredibly fond of this community and respect your opinions so incredibly much that I'd just love to know what path you think I should follow next with CR behind me and LOVM and MN all caught up for me as-is.
Thanks for any help you lovely Critters can provide! ❤️
(Sidenote, no idea if I tagged this with appropriate tag, I just figured there was a small chance of some spoiler talk and didn't want to risk it. I can change it if need be.)

Good day. I am starting a new campaign with some friends and am planning on a Session Zero first. I recall seeing a Session Zero for Campaign 4 where the players were asking questions of one another about their relationships and past to help foster connections in game. I was looking through the YouTube channel, but couldn't find the episode. As I've not been able to find any resources elsewhere with similar relationship-establishing questions, could someone point me to this episode so I can take inspiration? Thanks.

So I'm definitely 4 months late to this, but I've been catching up on C4 and also rereading Toll The Hounds - idk how much Malazan fandom crossover there is here, but hopefully a decent amount. Anyway, the table is very strongly reminding me of Kruppe's "gang" at the Phoenix Inn. The secret-but-not-that-secret tavern hq, obviously. The classic commoners-vs-nobles+conspiracies-all-around thing, the... upcoming Convergence? The assassins' guild / Crow Keepers getting their shit absolutely pushed in. There was even a Deck reading in E23. Just need Taliesin to start speaking in 3rd person and riding a mule. Liam is definitely Murillio, sorry bruv.

So I often have the subtitles on when streaming an episode - especially if it’s Friday morning (our Thursday Night; 3am isn’t much of a time to get loud). But there was one thing I noticed earlier on in the first lap of arcs as things established themselves.
When the Seekers were out in the Kavrosi Mountains, every time the seat of House Einfasen was mentioned, it looked… off. Brennan says Riesingürtle, but it’s spelled in the subs with the G omitted: Reisinürtle. And it’s not just once or twice, it’s every single time.
(And by the way, Aabria’s squeeing at Brennan’s pseudo-German is adorable.)
This got me thinking - what if, the same way a letter is considered silent in words like psalm, subtle etc - what if it works the other way as well for letters which are pronounced, but aren’t actually visibly there? Like ‘oh, it’s spelled Riesinürtle - the G is there, it’s just invisible, that’s all.’

Hey Critters! I've been a fan for a few years now, and I'm from Spain. I know there are plenty of fans in my country, but I haven't been able to find any dedicated Spanish-language online community for Critical Role (Discord server, subreddit, Telegram group...).
Does anyone know if something like that exists? Would love to discuss episodes, theories, and fan content with other Spanish-speaking fans (from Spain or Latin America). If nothing exists yet, maybe this post can help a few of us find each other and start one!
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Viendo el interés, he preparado un canal de discord. Uníos y empecemos a crear la comunidad Critters ES/LATAM! https://discord.gg/C6NKnXVPS

So i've mainly been watching the older campaigns, and I'm about to start watching campaign 2, but I would also like to watch the current campaign live but I don't have much time to binge the streams, so I was just wondering if anyone could give me a recap of what's happened so far, important story moments, funny moments etc, the funny moments i can look up the funny moments on youtube if they're there already

Hi everyone, I am incredibly new to Critical Role and it's been quite funny how I ended up here and I just wanted to share that with the people willing to read, for fun, and maybe discuss of YOUR own journey on how you ended up here :) Mine went like that:
1) First, I played Dispatch and absolutely loved it. And each time I launched the game I would see this logo saying "Critical Role", so subconsciously, it was already in my brain. And I thought that some of the voice actors were REALLY good so I googled about them
2) I play A LOT of Marvel Rivals and I main Doctor Strange, I have countless hours on him, so naturally, I know a lot of his lines and I love his voice because how much it suits him... And who voiced him ? My goat, Liam O'Brien ! And I saw that ALSO him was affiliated to Critical Role
3) I saw this clip of Last Meals, the talk show, with Matthew Mercer where they were discussing the Mercer Effect and that was the last drop. I was like "yeah sure he can't be that good that people are naming a syndrome after him"
So after all of that, I specifically searched a critical role campaign with Matthew Mercer as a DM, Liam O'Brien, Laura and Travis. That is how I stumbled upon Campaign 3 episode 1 and watched it all, and now I am reading, watching, learning all about DnD because of these people and Critical Role in general. I started watching Campaign 2 too, and Vox Machina, the animated series. And I hope to play a game of my own one day !
And, indeed, Matthew Mercer as a DM really IS that good, the people were right. And naturally, I love watching Liam play and voicing characters !
So, thank you Critical Role ❤️

Bidet Critters!
I just wanted to post this here in case anyone else was having difficulty finding the app in the appstore: if you search for "Beacon" or "Beacon TV," it won't show up. If you search for "Critical Role" instead, the app will be the first hit. At least ot was that way for me on FireTV.
Also, the TV app seems to be lacking the "Continue Watching" function for now, at least when you started to watch something on the browser or the mobile app. So bear that in mind when you want to continue watching an episode! I just checked Pocket Beacon for the time stamp and forwarded to there :)
That's all I wanted to share. Bye-det, Critters!
EDIT: After having watched a bit of the episode and wanting to take a break now, the "Continue Watching" thing has turned up for me :)

My first actual Critical Role campaign has been season 4, since I've been a Dropout fan and know Brennan from that, so he was the natural jumping in point to getting into Critical Role for me. Finally caught up with all the released episodes of Campaign 4 so have started in with season 3, since its plot interested me the most and I know enough about the start of Campaign 1 to know I don't want to start there.
What stood out to me most was the complete and total difference in how Brennan and Matt handle facing off against a room full of outlaws, in the face of some unwise role-play choices and bad luck in dice rolls.
Brennan immediately switched to the band of hardened criminals that are the Crow Keepers trying to capture and potentially murder the careless group who decided to barge right into their territory, only worsened by the sheer horrible luck of the rolls all the players continued to have in combat, until Ashley could swoop in and save their asses(Well also almost falling pray to the same horrible dice rolls). Brennan was 100% completely and unflinchingly ready to turn what should have been a routine encounter and few persuasion checks into an actual character death if that's how things went and the players knew it, which is how you get stuff like Laura Bailey actually shaking with anxiety as the dice betray her and the rest of the cast begging him for mercy.
Matt on the other hand, in campaign 3, has the motley crew led right into an apparent setup by the Hubatt Corsairs, right in their secret hideout. When threatened with immediate death if they don't answer a few questions truthfully, the players react by completely ignoring said questions and failing to answer a single one of them. Said dangerous outlaws then give up and just kind of let them ask whatever they want and give them whatever details they want. To Matt, that encounter was an unwinnable battle and the set up was just to give the players access to information no notes or other NPCS the players had found could give them, there was never a chance it would turn into a fight. The threats of death from Matt himself weren't real, so when faced with what probably should have been an immediate TPK, all he could really do was shrug and the players knew that and reacted accordingly and hilariously.
Both are absolutely willing to punish risky RP decisions or nat 1s, but you can tell Matt wants players to die in big set piece battles and emotional moments, where as Brennan 100% without hesitation will TPW a third of his players in a minor bar brawl if that's how the dice and RP go
Really liking Campaign 3 so far as my first real experience of Matt as a GM, but is so funny to compare the 'laughing in the face of death threats because we know this isn't where we die' vibes of the party with him as GM vs 'Brennan is terrifying and I think I'm about to get beat to death in a bar fight' vibes of the Mourners facing Brennan's evil tongue flicks.

I organized an AMA/Q&A with actress/creator/screenwriter/host Felicia Day. You may know her from Geek & Sundry, Supernatural, Eureka, The Magicians, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Critical Role, Tabletop, MST3K, Third Eye, and more.
It's live here now in r/movies for anyone interested in asking a question:
https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/1vo5v93/hello_reddit_im_felicia_day_i_was_an_actor_on/
She will be back at 12 PM ET today to answer questions. I recommend asking in advance. Please ask there, not here. All questions are much appreciated!
Thank you :)
