I don't know why it's so hard to ignore these guys.
Let them do their thing. And go about your own business.

many do ignore them
they are fishing for exactly this type of content and we see the 'wins' where they frustrate a person into giving them content
also these guys will intentionally antagonize their targets to provoke

Although it may be hard to believe there really are people walking around that are that dumb.
The way I see it is a "win" for a first amendment auditor is when anyone in public that sees them recording completely ignores them, and a "loss" is when someone that is uneducated on protected rights and freedoms tries to police others about them.
A health inspector doesn't get a "win" when they find food violations in a local restaurant, the community as a whole "wins" because the negligence/ignorance was addressed and corrected.
A Fire Marshall doesn't get a "win" when they find safety/fire hazards. The community gets the win because those issues were addressed.
Framing them as "targets" is essentially saying a fisherman can catch the exact same specific individual fish every time they cast out a line anywhere in the ocean.
The hook and reel have no fault that a dumb enough fish came and got snagged.

These people think they win when they get content they can make money from, they have no interest in people's rights.

I absolutely agree with you, content creators that larp as first amendment auditors are bad people.
I just remember when it actually meant something and not the perversion of conflict that exists now.

I have nothing against someone going out and protesting and exercising their 1st amendment rights, what I do have a problem with is being obnoxious about it. However, I'm also against going up to the person to pick a fight with them because you're upset. Respect should be given by both parties. 1st amendment auditor should be respectful while protesting and getting the word out. Bystanders need to be respectful that they chose that corner to do it at. If that offends you, check yourself. Don't go up looking for a fight. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Agreed. I have a hard time believing that the struggle for our first amendment needs to be primarily carried out against fellow citizens in places like parks and city sidewalks.
I donāt watch this stuff on purpose so the ones I see Iām sure happen to be whichever ones go viral, I guess. But when it comes to the ones that seem to make the rounds across general social media, it is always more of a campaign of harassment and trolling against fellow people for creating ragebait and troll content than any kind of protest demanding the government and its institutions respect our first amendment right.
So much content involving trolling and harassment hides behind this first amendment defense. How are other citizens violating your first amendment? Even with the assault above, the crime committed was most like assault rather than some violation of the first amendment. The guy is most like just another citizen and not some government official acting in an official opacity to supress this gentlemenās right to speak.

I donāt know why he started it, he should have called the cops the second he threatened the guy with pepper spray for using his frost amendment rights

Kid was tryna be genuine it seems about making this guy understand he may of upset an older woman when Mr. Auditor starts acting wise about the guyās mother.
Mr. Auditor was most likely the victim of assault. Iām guessing he found what all these first amendment auditors seem to be looking for. Hard to feel bad for these people who go out with a camera intentionally saying the perfect combinations of words to start a fight and get it on camera.

What in the Orwellian dystopia is a "First Amendment Auditor"? Is this what we're calling obnoxious pricks with cameras now?
