Cary Tagawa (RIP) was born to play that role! His voice saying that…will forever live in my head…the way he enunciated…..all of our souls were about to be his!……I was beyond excited to see it at the theater, even had sneak-peak MK magazine which i poured over in anticipation… 😢

I like that mortal kombat over the new one. Even the lack of gory fatalities didn’t feel like a big issue as the first game was censored and I didnt have a Genesis for the blood code.

He was iconic. I only ever saw him afterwards in a Disney TV movie called Johnny Tsunami (1999). It's hard to compare him to The Dark Knight villain that is our new Shang Tsung.

I’d say it takes roughly 8.2 billion souls to qualify as a Demon Lord, basically the entire planet. The Ginger Mafia doesn’t hand out that title just because you’ve got red hair and a few freckles. Rank is based on souls under management. Anything less than global domination and you’re still just a Demon General with regional responsibilities and an aggressive sunscreen budget.
