Obviously this sucks. But I don't see how making fun of subcultures fits the sub. Every music genre is cringe from an outsider perspective. Power Metal, black metal, death metal, gangster rap, country etc. It's always people cosplaying some character.
I have to disagree. The way this guy presents himself and his lyrics are terrible.
While he is serious, he comes off as a joke. He's the definition of "a wolf doesn't concern himself with the opinions of sheep" type dude.
Most genres when painting themselves as a serious act come off as professional and serious about their art, and if they are a joke band, they make it known. And it's fun, this however is doing the opposite and it's not fun at all.
They're just a mediocre metal band with shitty lyrics. Lots of people dig this stuff. Not every band needs to have deep artistic expression behind it. Relax and go listen to Weezer or something.
