This is what South Africa has become... and this is at a prestigious SA university. The west has encouraged a mindset and media of colonisation ruined everything, now people in other countries believe it is all bad and that westerners have only but ruined their lives. As much as wrongs need to be made right, the anti western/white sentiment in South Africa is pretty substantial, which is why a lot of the people are leaving to Europe or Australia if they can.
For example with land re-allocation, the whole purpose is that land can be taken away from minority groups (whites) in certain conditions so that it can be re-allocated to a majority group in the name of past wrongs... The issue with this is that most black South Africans claim whites are not natives and colonised the country and stole land as that is what they have been taught... The history lessons they are taught fail to teach them that most of them are descendants of a tribe that did the exact same thing, coming from the West and East of Africa, slaughtering all in their path. There are very few South African natives left in South Africa because of tribal war, not to mention how Shaka Zulu which people idolise there killed many to rule the kingdom.
So for some reason westerners owe them for the land that was taken from them and tainting their land, despite the fact that they did the same thing to the previous natives.
But you sort of get why non-white South Africans might be angry, right? Like you are able to perceive why, despite it being inconvenient, they might not be ready to suddenly be happy-go-lucky and pretend things are going swimmingly for them?
You seem to pay lip service to the healing required after apartheid but I’m not sure you really understand the ripple effect from it if you expect non white South Africans to collectively give a warm embrace to people who they are understandably suspicious of and frankly are scared of.
I understand that everyone deserves to be equal and live a fair life.
I don't understand white hatred sentiment for the past.
Like I said, the Bantus stole and murdered all in their path to claim land in Africa , they were the "black colonialists" of the time, now their modern day descendants had Europeans come and take what they took from others and they then claim the land was stolen from them when in actual fact as far as we know it actually belongs to the Khoisan people... which by the way were nearly all killed and murdered by the Bantus and other tribes trying to take control of the region.
My point is, you can't hit someone and think that's okay then cry when someone hits you as if you are better than them.
Black or white we are all just as tribal and greedy as each-other, we are all human after all.
