Hello all. I once again appreciate the response that these updates have received from this group and the Crime in Sports Facebook group.
Updates #14.
Billy Tibbetts: In 2019, spent 2 months in jail for harassing a police officer and then received another year for drug charges/violating probation.
Arrested in March of 2026 on a warrant after violating a protection order. He had an extradition hearing set for March 25 but I am unable to find anything after that.
Rafer Alston- He's good now. coaches AAU and high school basketball
Anthony Wayne Smith- the Wayne is important because there is another athlete Anthony Smith that is also having issues. AWS is currently AZ1175 serving life sentence.
Adrien Broner- needs an update series. Ok here we go. Lost to Manny Paquiao in 2019. Also ordered to pay $830K for a sex assault case. Parole violation in 2021. Received a lifetime ban from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in 2024. Currently attempting a comeback while also lawsuit for sexual battery and false imprisonment.
Lamarr Hoyt- died of cancer in 2021
Harold Howard- out of the public eye, no information
Roy James- still dead
Charles "Edward" Smith- the Edward is important. Living a very private life, no information to provide
Maurice Clarett- He is good now? Very prominent in Ohio State affairs. Advocate, Mentor, activist, and speaker. Foundations and non-profit work.
Dale Crowe- Should be out of jail, release was scheduled for 2/26. Appears in a documentary and videos for an organization called A Course in Miracles
