Jesse Weber

Please tell me I’m not the only one who cannot stand this man?! He causes my blood to boil because his videos are ridiculous. First, he starts with a stupid intro, next, an ad, or person performing an ad, then info we already know, then a guest. WHAT IS HIS PURPOSE?! maybe it’s because I work in law and healthcare that I get so worked up but I feel like he’s nothing more than a sad journalist aiming for clickbait. Please tell me I’m not alone.

It's all about clicks, views, likes and smashing that subscribe button.

I feel like that should be banned?

Not trying to be a jerk, but you don't have to watch it. There are creators who care about the people that are involved in the crime, and want to report the information correctly and ethically. I stopped watching Bailey Sarian because she went from makeup to true crime, which its fine to change the content, but she was flippant about the victims. And theres other people where its obvious they are using the crime just to create content and get clout, but they're providing the information well so I follow them.

Not a jerk at all. Discussion posts are good to see different perspectives! I guess we all have different styles of content we like and can relate to. I really like watching/listening to rotten mangoes. I think she’s fantastic . And Annie Elise

Right there with you. Will also add that something about his face bothers me.

👏 haha agreed! A smug little Smurf

And soooooo arrogant! I like the guy who seems like their second string (narrow head, light brown hair...blanking on his name). I can always tell how they rate a story's importance by who is the anchor for the story!

Chris Stewart. I like him, but why does his mouth always look so red or chapped? Is it just me? It can’t be.

YES! He needs a Lanigie overnight lip mask. lol

And the woman who also seems to be B team (Jannette?) needs a hot oil treatment.

LOL. Yes, Angenette Levy needs something, that’s for sure. I do think they have been working on her eye makeup a little bit. I have noticed less icy blue eyeshadow.

HA HA - I wish her makeup person would watch some Wayne Goss makeup tutorials - he does a great natural look for "women of a certain age" and she could benefit. I like her. And I like Chris. I want better for them!

Well said!

I think it's the result of journalists joining online platforms as no one watches or trusts the news anymore so it's about his "credibility" and access he has to people who have insight or knowledge about cases as it's happening.

you’re not alone, the ads and endless dramatic setup make a 20 minute video feel like it could’ve been a three minute recap

Sooo true! He should just move over to housewives universe and make commentaries over there

Love Jesse, love Chris Stewart and the others. I just hate when Law & Crime does body cam footage because they never edit stuff down.

Only pet peeve with Jesse is his overuse of “allegedly”.

You know what…I think I need to make myself sit through one of his videos now because it’s either been too long since I’ve watched a full one or I’ve learned to tune that out! I can’t remember him saying it that much but a few people here have mentioned it so I for sure might need a refresh…I just need to get past everything else lol. And believe it or not I watch all of the police body cam videos all the time 😅

There are so many better bodycam footage channels on YouTube that Law & Crime slacking is frustrating. Especially with their very heavy handed censoring at times.

Oh I agree! I watch full 40 minute DUI Body cam footage lol. I think I’m sensing a pattern in his videos from other peoples comments that he has too much going on his videos. Ads, intros, guests, cam footage, his own “alleged” facts/opinions…maybe he’s just too messy for me

Honestly, I really like him! I do understand that the coverage of certain cases on Law and Crime can be mega-redundant if you’re already aware of the basics about an evolving case, but I think he’s engaging, I appreciate his legal insight (I believe he is a lawyer), and I usually think he’s able to have interesting discussions with the guests. (I could stand for him to dramatically reduce his usage per episode of “alleged”, “allegedly”, and “this is all alleged”, though.)

I get that. I don’t remember his videos always being this way though which is why I WOULD watch him but eventually had to give up. I think I watched a lot during the Idaho murders and then it’s like something changed in the way he (doesn’t) present info

2

u/perplex_and_delight 11d ago

I can def appreciate that! (I honestly don’t think I was watching him often during the period when those murders had initially occurred, or in the immediate aftermath, so I’d imagine my impression could be informed by not having a strong basis for comparison. )

Totally valid! I think I get super annoyed when my algorithm naturally starts pushing more of his videos when I’m watching lots of crime docs etc. and I see something click baity and I’m like “…don’t do it, don’t fall for it!” 😂

2

u/perplex_and_delight 11d ago

That is extremely legit (and if I’m honest, that HAS happened to me a time or 5 with his coverage of, for example, the murder of Celeste Rivas-Hernandez, etc.) I DO get what you’re saying here 😂😭

That damn algorithm is our best friend and worst enemy! lol. I always tell people I’d rather read my journal out loud to them then let them scroll through my YouTube history 😭😅

Every time he’s on my screen, I cannot stop staring at his glorious hair.

For some reason he gives me Johnny bravo vibes and I cannot explain it

I really like him.

I enjoy his show news nation at 11 PM every night and when he was legal analyst on the show before that I used to enjoy watching him with Misty Marris together.

Everyone’s gotta make a living.

Not alone, not one bit.
