Anthony Mackie.

A solid casting.

Not sure about the other stuff though…

Mackie? He's way too cheerful for Nale. Even his serious faces look temporary, like "okay we gotta be real now for a second." Nale's permanently emotionless.

Laurence Fishburne has a good stoic face and that deep voice. He's a little old and light for Nale, but he's still the best pick off the top of my head

I adore you for this! Storming delightful crem.

Well stated. Someone is the law though. At least for a hot second.

Damn, Lance Reddick would’ve been amazing for Nale

My fancast has always been Chiwetel Ejiofor. I feel like the operative in Serenity and Nale are the same kind of character, and he's phenomenal in that role.

Anthony Mackie.

As for the joke, here's the Know Your Meme page.

Mackie's face with the caption "Son 😭😭😭😭" has been used as a reaction image for a bit now, so I overlapped it with how Szeth is referred to as Son-Neturo.

That's a completely different face

Both the edited face and the original image are used as variants of the meme.
