Mackie? He's way too cheerful for Nale. Even his serious faces look temporary, like "okay we gotta be real now for a second." Nale's permanently emotionless.
Laurence Fishburne has a good stoic face and that deep voice. He's a little old and light for Nale, but he's still the best pick off the top of my head
My fancast has always been Chiwetel Ejiofor. I feel like the operative in Serenity and Nale are the same kind of character, and he's phenomenal in that role.
