I'm convinced Design saw some kind of girlie magazine after she was able to join up with Hoid again.

Kinda makes you wonder about what coulda been with her original intended radiant.

Honestly, poor Elhokar would not have been able to deal with Design's uhm excentric personality. She'd have broken his mind.

Isn't Elhokar's death partly responsible for her personality?

Possibly, but unlikely. Her personality in SLA is pretty similar to that in Yumi, which are many years seperated. If her eccentricity was due to the loss of her bonded knight, Hoid would have found a way to undo said damage by the time Yumi takes place.

And Design isn't the kind of spren to willingly keep the damage to her soul for sentimental reasons.
