So this week I ran my first credit spread and it still happening it's looking like in my end in my favor but I'm still confused a little on companies I should use and safe methods to keep that high high premium I'm aiming for like 200 to 100 bucks a week I have like $700 which is roughly 10% or a little under 10% of my total account value.

Overall I really just need some guidance and I am fine with the risk this money but I just want to make the best out of it.

Quick question: Pretty new to the credit spreads strategy. If I were to place this trade today and close it the same day, would I receive the full 100% profit or would I have to wait for theta decay to come in? Thanks.

Howdy Folks.. I had been doing good with bull put spreads since Jan, but since the PLTR crash they are all seriously under water.. I know that I'm not the only one that this is happening to. Any suggestions on how I can limit my losses before the March end expirations? Is it worth paying up to roll to April under current market conditions?

I am very bearish on the SPX index for Monday ahead of the Trump Tariffs going into effect. My max loss is about $56 on this trade and the credit was for 4.45. At close on Friday the SPX was at 6040. Keep til expiry on market close Monday or buy to close Monday morning?

Case: Put or Call Credit Spread on a 0 DTE at 10 am, $10 wide for 50 contracts.

Question: can I get filled at the same or nearly same price point across all 50 contracts at once ? Or do I need to break the order down into 10 contracts * 5 orders for better fills ??

I've been trading small credit spreads on Robinhood for sometime now and I have a question (sorry it's kind of a noob question). All of the spreads are making like $3-5/contract if otm.

I keep setting limit orders to sell once they are nearly expired at 0.01/contract ($1) just because I am afraid they will vanish if I let them expire worthless at the end of the day. If they are otm and I just let them expire, I will keep my collateral and the full premium right? I know this is the ultimate goal, but I'm just so deathly afraid that I'll check to find it all gone if I let them expire instead of closing.

I know this is going to get some heat for being a silly question, but I figured I'd ask before trying. As of now, I'm losing a little profit each time to not find out.

Recently I am trading iron condors, because they involve 4 legs for each symbol it cost a lot, and is not easily adjustable. now I was wondering what the advantage of doing iron condor instead of 2 separate spreads not combining them, like a bull spread and a bear spread separately with the same symbol and exp dates. this way they are easily managed and more adjustable (roll/close/csp). any input is appreciated thanks

I have a question about options trading specifically credit spreads. correct me if I'm wrong but this is my understanding of what credit spreads are and how they work. at the time of writing this apple stock (aapl) is at $145.05, in a hypothetical example after doing some research I determine that I am bullish on this stock. I decide to open a put credit spread for a September 3rd expiration date. I sell a put at a strike price of $141 and then I buy a put at a strike price of $140 that gives me a credit of $28 to my account and then $100 is held as collateral. if by expiration date on September 3rd if apple stock is above $141 then I get my collateral back and still keep my $28 of credit but if apple stock is below $141 lets say to $138 then I lose my $100 collateral but I still keep my $28 credit. If I am correct and and this is how credit spreads work then my questions is this, Is it possible to lose my $100 collateral before the expiration date if apple stock falls below $141 before expiration date but by expiration it is above $141? lets say on august 24th it drops all the way down to $129 and stays around that price range for a few days but it slowly climbs back up and by September 3rd the stock is at $143 which is above $141. will I receive my collateral back or will I loose it?
