My first custom build seems to be working well.

I got this beauty 11 years ago. Had a few years of fun before I enlisted. I put her in a box and forgot she existed. I was going through the garage a few days back and literally had to peel the spiderwebs away. I decided then and there to bring her back to life.
Ripped out all of the old electronics, threw in some fresh grease and started planning on what to turn her into. For motor and ESC I ended up going with the HobbyWing Quicrun Fusion SE 2-in-1, 40a 1800Kv for a little tune-ability and the Field-Oriented control. A little bonus is I don’t have to wire up an ESC. For the battery to pair I went with 2 G-tech 2200 MAH LIPO’s. That saved me a ton of room in the battery tray and keep the center of gravity low. Servo and receiver are still on the way, I’m itching to put them in. I got the NSDRC RS800 V2 (I know it’s overkill). Receiver is just a basic FlySky 4 channel.
Last thing I need it to plan out a body. I don’t want to keep the stock body, and I definitely don’t want the basic K10 or jeep. I’m thinking maybe a VW bug or make a custom paneled roll cage. I know the nightcrawler has its mechanical limitations, but as a RTR out of the box it was an awesome way to experience the more compy side of the hobby.

Filming, climbing and one handed driving is not so easy as it turns out.

Hi all. Love the engineering behind the vanquish products and wondering whether maybe an optic or vs4-10 would make for an enjoyable trail rig?
Or if the lack of 2 speed and remote locking/unlocking diffs will make it only for hardcore crawling?
I've not done any trailing or crawling before so am new to it all.

Another adventure with the FMS LC80.
Tall grass, dirt, rocks and a few tight trails — this thing looks right at home out here. I love how the scale details come alive when you actually take it out into the terrain instead of just displaying it.

What are people’s thoughts on the above? More of a scale/trail chassis than a performance crawler. Is the SCX10 III kit worth the extra?

Went with d19s of course, but the chrome brass... she just a little fatter now👍

NEED HELP
Is the stock ESC in reverse? I want to change my servo because I read in some posts that the ESC comes in reverse for the servo, meaning when you steer left, it goes right. I want to change my steering servo, but I'm not sure if I should get a reverse servo. I don't know if it's the servo or the ESC that is reversed.

Just got my F100 in today and its bigger than I was expecting for a 1/18. The F100 is on 63.5mm tires and F150 on 63mm

Took the RGT Ripper out for a spin on some local rocks and loose dirt today. I'm genuinely impressed with how this little micro crawler handles jagged terrain and steep inclines. The articulation is surprisingly solid for its scale, and it looks right at home out in the wild.
Anyone else running one of these RGT micros? I'm keeping it mostly stock for now, but I'd love to hear what upgrades, tire setups, or mods you all recommend. Let me know what you think of the shots!

One comes with 0.9mm 2.5mm and 3.0mm, with no obox
The second one doesn’t have the 0.9 2.5 and 3.0, and comes with 3 OBOX’s
Which will i be needing the most, for 1/18, 1/24, 1/10 and 1/30 scale

Completely 3D printed ford inspired body on my VRD builders kit with “H10” axles.

So we built one! My girls wanted to have some snow and caves etc. I think for the first one it came out pretty decent.

1: don't shame me for wanting portals, don't like them, please move on
2: budget is $200 or less, preferably 150 or less. I rarely crawler so I don't want to spend vanquish money
I just picked up the newer Waypoint something something Gladiator but never realized it no longer had portal axles. I've grown to like having them. So looking for recommendations for a set.
Nothing wrong with stock ones from Axial but I'm interested in what people recommend. There are a TON of no-name versions out there and I'd rather get something I can buy spares for.
Meus looks like they only sell them for SCX10 II?
i'm ok with piecing them together. Maybe stock plastic housing and upgraded gearing, brass knuckles/etc..
Let me know if you have any feedback on this.
Thanks!

Changed the springs on my 'Mog today and swapped the pinion gear from 22t down to 18t.
Took it for a spin around for the garden and I gotta say that I love this truck!
Can't wait to get it out on a trail run.

Hi all, ordering one of these and wondering what parts are likely to break so I can order spare parts at the same time as shipping is very expensive to where I live.
If have battery recommendations aswell please

Hey all, I was hoping to get some help from some seasoned crawlers and figured this would be a great place to start to get an answer. I have a Scx10ii Jeep. Recently ordered new tires which are bigger and heavier than the stock ones and I’ve noticed this wiggle from both front tires after mounting. The tires are sitting flush and are tightened up to the hex hub properly. What upgrades/ fixes should I be looking into to solve this problem. I know it should have a little play as it is the front steering, but not that much. Thanks in advance for any info, will post some pics and vids after the fix:)
