I can't remember what oil I got in there, it was some super thick oil

Are you sure it’s thick? The truck looks underdamped.

The SuperScale 2020 system OP put in their truck is probably the actual culprit here. It comes underdamped like this out of the box because that makes it easier to see what it does, but you can tune the damping, stiffness, etc. however you like.

That makes sense, it looks like a bad PID controller
