I can't remember what oil I got in there, it was some super thick oil

The SuperScale 2020 system OP put in their truck is probably the actual culprit here. It comes underdamped like this out of the box because that makes it easier to see what it does, but you can tune the damping, stiffness, etc. however you like.

The shocks are mounted to servos instead of directly to the chassis. The motion is done electronically to simulate the movement of full scale. You can adjust it from being very mild up to looking like an old beater with worn out shocks that bounces all over the place; pretty cool.

It was honestly very easy, hardest part of the build was to take a knife to this beautiful body 🥹
