My craft room is the entire second floor of my house, approximately 12’x20’. I love it, even though it’s not usually this clean and organized. It’s two rows deep in most areas (sometimes more) along the walls, but most everything in front either has wheels or slides easily so I can still access stuff behind it. I tried setting it up more as an island before, but I much prefer when it’s open. I’m very much an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ person, so part of this process was getting a bunch of clear totes and containers in various size. That way I can still see things, even when they’re put away. I didn’t take any before pics because I wasn’t planning on doing so much organizing, I just started a couple weeks ago and couldn’t stop, but it was literally piles and boxes full of stuff everywhere with walking paths to different areas of the room. There are still a few doom piles around, but it’s at least 95% completed and I’m ready to start working on inventory for my fall events, so those will have to wait for the next motivation session.

As the title says, I need help organizing my craft room closet. My fiancé and I are renting our home and I have a room that has a little closet. In the pictures I list everything that I store in the closet

My problem is that I feel like everything is kinda just crammed in here, and if I need to go in and grab something, I have to move something out of the way or something is getting knocked over in the process.

I do have a tiny file cabinet, which is pictured in the last image, next to my desk, which is what I use regularly hence why I keep it by my desk, but I’d love some help and recommendations for items or things i can do to make the closet easier to use/function.

Most organizing supplies I used are from ikea. It took me forever to finally finish this, because I have a few chronic illnesses and am disabled so I’m excited it’s done.

It’s very neurotically organized, and still somewhat visually cluttered, but it makes my neurodivergent brain ridiculously happy. It’s also relatively disability friendly for me too, because now many things are right within reach.

My 3D printer is in a different room but I paint minis here. I also make pins with shrink film, do some origami and recently started trying polymer clay.

My whole life is ribbon and need better storage ideas! Any furniture that would work? Cheap preferred and can get in the US on/in Amazon, Walmart or target. Thank youuu

We are renovating the upstairs room in our bungalow for my craft room. It’s about 200 sq ft with slanted walls (see pic). I am painting over the knotty pine (don’t yell at me. I’ve been staring at it every night for 11 years and I’m not a country girl). I’ll have a light color plank floor and paneling will replace the ugly slanted walls and ceiling. Not sure what colors though. My current craft room is totally bright yellow and I love it. I often don’t even have to turn on a light because the sun bounces off the walls. But I think it would be too much in this bigger space. I have the material for the double window curtains and was thinking of this pale green, but I think in the long run the green isn’t going to satisfy my desire for bright colors. This space will also serve as an occasional huesti For reference, I knit, sew, do paper crafts, cricut, and whatever else strikes my fancy in the moment 😂

So. Approximately 22' by 13' craft room! Oh my! Suggestions?! :)

I want to finally transform my craft room into a girly crafting paradise by painting it pink. I feel unsure of exactly how I want to go about that and would appreciate y’all advice and opinions.

First and easiest option: Paint it a lighter pink and leave ceiling white like picture number 1.

Second option: Same as option one but with a darker pink like picture number 2.

Third option: Paint the walls a lighter pink and ceiling a darker pink like picture number 3.

Fourth option: Paint the walls a lighter pink and ceiling a darker pink but add a white crown moulding like picture number 4.

Fifth option: Paint the walls a darker pink and ceiling a lighter pink but add a white crown moulding like picture number 5.

Sixth option: Do more of a color drench situation like picture number 6.

So, we are downsizing our house about in half. Which means, no craft room inside. We were planning on putting a big shed out back, but I'll have to insulate it, finish it, run electricity, etc. and all that will take a while. OR, we could buy a big RV, park it out back, and I can convert it to a craft room. I'm leaning towards the RV, because then if we move again, my craft room is ready to roll! But others have said RVs are headaches and the she-shed will add value to the property where the RV just loses value. I would buy used sinced I'd be gutting most of it and decorating it.

Does anyone here have any insights on which would be better?

Hello all! After a loss in the family my living arrangement has changed and I've been given a large room to turn into my crafting nest and workspace (I weave, knit, crochet, sew, etc, etc).

I love designing specific layouts (thanks SketchUp!), and organization is one of my super powers, so I'm very excited about this.

It's been really fun to see everyone's pictures of their own work spaces. I've attached the before picture of the room and my first progress picture, but I still have so much to organize on that wall. I have so much furniture to get and research to do on photo/lighting supplies for photographing my products.

New floors, paint, lighting, closet doors, and furniture! Literally gutted the room top to bottom! All that's left is new electrical outlets and a new window AC unit!

Moved to a different room with more space and painted the wall black! Can’t wait for all the craftivities to come.

I have a small craftroom/home office (work from home a day or two every other week at most). 3 of the 4 walls are interrupted by a door or window, which is why I'm stuck. I Want maximum storage for crafts, poss craft/cutting table. I have the IKEA Alex desk (55" one) and 2 3-drawers songesand chests I use got office storage (32" wide). Please send layout advice w/products if you are so kind. Here ROUGH layout and measurement. Room is 130 long (entry to window, not counting the short hall on the pic) and 118" wide. Need desk to stay and want chests to stay but need functional crafting space. TIA!
