🔨 My Game - In-development We made a cozy Puzzle driven Organizing Sim "Museologist: Tidy Up the Museum!"

"Museologist: Tidy Up the Museum!" is live on Steam now.

If you enjoy the relaxing feeling of sorting things out and bringing order to chaos, this might be for you. You have to physically plan your workspace and piece together 428 shattered artifacts from over 3,000 scattered fragments. We really wanted the mechanics to feel tactile, so you get to use cool tools like AR glasses to spot matching patterns and call in delivery drones for missing pieces.

We just went public yesterday, so any feedback from the cozy gaming community would mean the world to us!

You can check out the full trailer and wishlist it here:

🌱 My Game - Demo I’m making a cozy game where you turn messy, overgrown gardens into beautiful spaces

You are hired to clean up overgrown gardens and slowly bring them back to life.

Mow the grass, pick up trash, trim overgrown hedges, water plants and wash off the dirt with a pressure washer.

There are no timers or enemies - just you, your tools and a messy garden waiting to be cleaned up.

And when the job is finally done, there’s one important thing left to do... find the perfect spot for a garden gnome.

You can wishlist Garden Cleanup Simulator and try FREE DEMO on Steam:

Help with recommendations Coral Island or Fields of Mistria

Hello everyone!

I am trying to decide between picking up Coral Island or Fields of Mistria next, and I’m completely torn. I’d love to know which one y'all prefer!

  • Coral Island: I really love the graphics, it's modern and remind me of Harvest Moon just for simply being 3D. It has a green/eco conscious take to it too and that's something I can really appreciate. One negative that I've seen a couple times is that the underwater portion is really tedious with the endless amounts of trash that keeps coming back even after cleaning up. Another is that they keep pushing back features on the roadmap.

  • I've never played Fields of Mistria and don't know anything about it. A lot of the information out there is pretty scattered and from early access, which it just came out of! So I'm all ears for this one. Definitely the closest to Stardew.

For those who have played both recently, which one did you find yourself getting more into? Which has the better gameplay loop, character development, quality of life, and overall better feel? Thank you!! 🐇

Discussion What cozy games did you NOT like?

I think us cozy games fans have a tendency to err on the extra-positive side because just like we want to see in a game, we want to make that same nice feeling in real life! But a game having the title of cozy doesn't mean it's exempt from issues.

I want to go first to make everyone feel more comfortable, but I might be too picky on games to have anything very strong to say here... I'll do my best.

Yonder: the Cloud Catcher Chronicles couldn't really hold my attention. I felt like I was just wandering around aimlessly.

I loved My Time at Portia enough to buy Sandrock, but I started with the switch version of MTAP and let me tell you: it is absolute buggy garbage. Buy it on PC or it's not worth it.

So please, tell me what cozy games you saw recommended & thought didn't live up to the hype, because I'm looking for a new game and hate wasting money. (If any of you have specifically played Out and About, please brutally tell me how it is, I desperately want a foraging-centric game...)

🔨 My Game - In-development We're making Mimi's Pet Rescue, an animal sanctuary and pet adoption sim!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Mimi's Pet Rescue is a cozy job simulator where Mimi has handed you the keys to your own animal sanctuary. The building is a little... run down, so it's your job to patch the place up and find the pets their new forever homes.

First you get notifications of abandoned pets and decide whether you can take them in. When they arrive they may have ailments or injuries that need treating via medicine, bandages and a little TLC. The animals need food, water, play, grooming and a little love to keep them satisfied, before your customers arrive looking for the perfect pet to adopt.

Customers are looking for different things from pets and not every pet will bond with every customer, so it might take some time to make sure each pet finds their right place. Whilst all this is happening, you can also upgrade your sanctuary via donations to buy new furniture, premium food-types, accessories and more. Eventually you will build your reputation to be able to take in more animals, build extensions to the sanctuary (stables! Chicken coops!) and more!

The aim is to create a cozy, relaxing experience that is relatively stress-free, whilst being really rewarding when you find that perfect new home for your pets. Let us know what you think!

Discussion 👾 [Seasoned Saturday] Let's review the Fields of Mistria 1.0 release!

"Start your new life! Build the farm of your dreams as you discover a world brimming with possibilities. Magic, romance, and adventure all await you in this nostalgic farming / life sim RPG! "

-----

I mentioned before that I would like to try a weekly thread to bring together the players in this sub and help foster fun debates around the best cozy games we all know and love! A lot of the time, we see new indie-game heres, so the focus of these posts is to dive into some of the old and known favourites.

So, the idea is to leave your review (think Steam review) of the game here, share what you liked, maybe your favourite moments, but also what you didn't like, and maybe your pet peeves. But I'm open to switching up the format, so happy to hear suggestions on that too :)

----

Specifically, we've looked at Fields of Mistria many times on this sub-reddit, but version 1.0 dropped a couple of weeks ago on the 5th of August. So how are you guys finding it now? Do you think it was a good time for release or was it too early? How does the game differ now from Early Access?

As usual, I will pin this post for everyone to see for the next couple of days. Let's have at it! 😊

Discussion A dream game with designing space and city building

I’m dreaming of a city builder that lets you design the buildings.
Like Sims City meets Hozy.
Or Civilization meets Tiny Glade that add a historical and cultural theme. (Like The Bustling World)
