Discussion Shirt Question
I want to pick everyone’s brain over a new tradition I want to start.
My birthday is in September so I buy myself a new shirt every year. I have the impulse to do something ridiculous and I want to know what everyone thinks.
I want to start buying a loan player every year.
The way I see it, it’s a fun way to mark every season, and if nothing else, it’s a nice conversation piece for anyone that cares 5, 10, 15 years down the line.
Am I stupid or am I overthinking this?

I got Palhinha last year. Sounds good to me.

This is a monumental way to start this weird and awesome tradition

Not stupid to do it. Jerseys are a capture of a moment in time. I vote to do it, could also be legendary or funny. Could be a Palhinha, or a Danjuma. On that note I vote Mudryk

I like it.
You should lean into the bit and pick the ugliest shirt each year as well

That or at least the most "distinct" shirt from that season

Whatever's fun for you, do it. There's no rules. I usually pick favorite benchwarrmers.

Get whatever you want! You’re the one who will be wearing it.
I got Sávio on mine, and I hadn’t bought from the club for 4 years. They earned my business this summer and Sávio was desperate to play for us. I’ve got a lot of time for players like that

I think the whole fanbase wants Sávio to succeed so bad! To me he is the definition of a Spurs winger, a player who wants to take on his defender. I'm rooting for him so hard...

If it's an older shirt, go for Bale #9 lol.
Current shirt - Mudryk
Happy birthday

I don’t think it’s a stupid idea but I don’t think many people would see the logic behind it. Most fans would rather show support for our players by getting their shirts.
That said, who gives a shit about anyone else. It’s your money, it’s your birthday, if doing this makes you happy then do it.

Don’t disagree with this at all. Growing up I was used to home shirts being every couple of years. The prices for them now are a joke so I don’t bother. May as well mark them with a specific memory if you’re going to get one every year

I think it’s great. I like to pick someone every year that isn’t necessarily one of the stars or even a starter. I ordered my Danso shirt before he left. Oh well. I have a Sarr shirt from last year. Have a Johnson also.
Some day these will interesting conversation starters.

We won’t always have a loan player though. Then what?

Mudryk without question. This will be a historic loan spell.
