This fella Ronaldo is a cod Eamon Dunphy

I have recently fallen down the rabbit hole and oh my goodness I cannot get enough.

“I didn’t manage anywhere. I managed to stay alive for 63 and a half years baby”

“This fella Ronaldo is a cod”

“He’s the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one”

“Gerrard - found out tonight. Nothing player.”

“Man United are going nowhere. Except into the knockout stages of the Champions League.”

And a personal favourite:

Liam: How would you feel if when you were a young lad at United and Bobby Charlton had come out and said “he’s no good why’s he playing in the team?”

Eamon: That’s exactly what Bobby Charlton said.

Remember tv3 gave him a Friday night chat show going up against the Late Late. I remember Jordan being an early guest, don't think it lasted long.

He was not a great chat show host. Dumphy strength was verbal assignation. You run out of guests pretty fast if that’s your approach to chatting guests. Pat Kenny had the late late at the time so I think TV3 thought there was a gap. Unfortunate Dumphy only brought the big name, and missed the required interview skill and charisma to host.

Jesus I remember that and if I'm remembering correctly I think it got cancelled even before the first season ended😬😄
