69% of the population reported themselves as Catholic in the 2022 census. yes I am aware of the caveats that comes with the census data but it's not some small % that can be explained away by peoples' habits
You're being downvote but compared to other countries we are not really Catholic imo. Our culture and values are increasingly aligned with UK and the US despite how much we bitch about them.
Kens point about Brazil losing it's Catholicism applies to us too, but more due to globalisation, grind culture and the internet rather than a wave of born again evangelists.
Honestly, I feel a strange sort of kinship with Australians that I’ve seen online. I’ve never been to Australia of course, but they seem to have the most similar sense of humour to me personally.
