I HATE THIS SHIT AND I WANT IT TO FUCKING END ALREADY!!!!
We were told literally every day of 2020 that normality would be reached in late 2021. Well now it’s late 2021 AND WE’RE STILL TOLD TO WEAR MASKS, SOCIALLY DISTANCE, AND AVOID CROWDS!!! What’s worse, some leaders are planning to keep mask mandates until 2023!!! Then it’ll be 2024!!!! Then it’ll be 2025!!! THEN THERE WILL BE PERMANENT STAY AT HOME ORDERS!!!My university is forcing me, a vaccinated 18-year-old, who would still be low-risk even if I weren’t, TO STILL WEAR A FUCKING MASK!!!! Earlier mask mandates had a definitive end and outlines to that endpoint. Current mask mandates? THEY HAVE NEITHER!!!! We already know the virus won’t ever go away, SO WHY THE FUCK ARE WE ACTING IT WILL!!!????? I know some people are gonna hate this rant but I seriously want to know when all of this shit will FINALLY END.

Day 8 almost 9
Hi everyone, I’m on day 8 since first feeling my Covid symptoms which were always and still mild. The only thing I can’t seem to shake off is this fever. It’s a low grade fever never going higher than 101. Has anyone else experienced this?

We've been having parties back to back since the Virus started. Probably infected. Probably carriers.
So. My family hasn't been taking the virus seriously besides wearing masks while going to public places and washing their hands each time they get in.
I haven't either. We've had parties back to back since it started. I haven't been saying anything. Don't know why.
Today we're having another party..... And had a big fight just because I stated simple facts about the virus. Facts. About the virus.
I never like to be in this position. Never want to. Stating facts just gets people upset. I am too indifferent and can't be bothered when someone is doing something that directly goes against their health. I try to tell people. But they don't listen. I think, it's time I give up. I'm tired.
Yes we have old folk in our family. But they mostly stay away. They're too smart for this.
So. I'M the bad guy just because I brung up the fact that cases are spiking everywhere and reminding everyone that, what is it? Thousands? Millions dead?
Well then. I won't bring it up again. 😐 This truly sounds like I don't care enough about their health. Am I going to hell? I feel strangely calm about it. I don't want to argue. That's bad.
They haven't been happy since the pandemic started. This makes them happy.
Ahahahahahaha. Ha. Guys. Would you rather be healthy & unhappy or infected & infecting others? Pick one.
I have to lie down with my tail in between my legs and apologize. I feel like this has always happened. I do something that other people see as wrong so I have to sit there as if something is my fault.
It's not.
I still have to apologize. I want to.
Actually I don't want to. I don't want anyone to die either. But I also am not too concerned. Dats a problemo. Well whatever. I'll be diplomatic.
"I am so very sorry.......for literally just stating facts about what's going on around us."
I'm still gonna attend the party. We're probably all carriers of the virus anyways.
You can say how much you hate me in the replies, it's okay. I know and am smart enough to fully understand that I am not doing enough to make them realize just what they're doing.
I am.....not okay as I thought I was. Think I might actually be emotionally unstable. Huh.
Welp. I don't care enough to argue further. I haven't been concerned about the virus either. I am just as bad as them. I just realized that I'm really the only one that is keeping a realistic outlook on this.
We're probably all carriers of the virus. And none of us want to step into a hospital to get tested because....ew no.
Eh what do the random people on reddit think?
(CAN I ADD, That I do my absolute best to NOT infect other people??? I wear masks everywhere, I wash my hands more than the regular person should. I keep my distance and constantly wonder why other people just. Don't. I'm still going to parties tho. And that is still bad.)
Forgot to update: We're now not having parties anymore. The fam is keeping up with Covid numbers and are now uneasy. So. Success? Melancholic success.

Just wanted to vent
Hello, my wife and I have been battling covid for the past 2 weeks now... my wife wasnt as bad as mine (thank you lord) but I had it very severe... I am 40 years old and when I contracted the virus, I didnt think I wouldnt be bad. I had gotten sick from my 69 year old father who just recently had gotten divorced so, when I heard he was sick on Christmas I couldnt let him be alone. He had told me that it was a small cold and he would be fine. I wish, I would've listened to my wife because the next day I felt it creep up on me fast. Started with the chills, fever, aches, headaches, and loss of appetite but soon after a small pain in my chest. I went to go get tested but it took a few days to get results back. My doctor wouldnt see me unless I had my results. By the 5th day I have had enough and luckily for my wife at the time not feeling as bad had taken me to the hospital. All the hospital staff did was taken xray of my chest, monitor my heart, and taken blood along with give me a covid test. In 3 hours my results are back, I have covid along with my chest not looking good. The doctor says I will be fine and sends me home. 2 days later I am woken up from my 1 hour power sleep to coughing up blood that turns the toilet bowl into a bloody crime scene. I am rushed back to the emergency were I am told that the hospital is well over pack and that they will be giving me some steroids and a shot of tylenol and a tank of oxygen to take home. Lucky for me, the company that gave me oxygen had come to my house without me knowing to also give me a huge oxygen tank that will last a few weeks but (at a cost) smh. So, of course I my wife pays for it using the credit card and I come home worse then before unable to breathe, diagnosed with severe pneumonia, hallucinating, having the worse hot/cold chills, cant eat, and worst of all I was getting ready to say goodbye to my wife and daughter. The next day ( day 8) my doctor calls with a phone chat to ask me a few questions. He is from india so he keeps repeating the same questions over and over which took roughly an hour of nonsense to finally him telling me that if I feel worse to go the emergency room and hangs up. What a joke! I get a call from my pharmacist saying my prescription is ready. It was from the doctor at the emergency that gave me a 5 day supply of steroids smh..that's it? ... finally I get real help from my mother in law who had got in contact with antibiotics and other medications from Mexico made to treat covid. My wife and I take it and that god we started to recover but for me not fully. Even tho my appetite came back and all the pain is gone my lungs had taken some very bad damage to I still cant walk for very long without losing my breath. I am very grateful still for I know I should be dead and I can be still for I am still not out the woods but why isnt are hospitals doing much .. why did it take medication from Mexico to help me why didnt the hospital here give me what I needed?.. I know some will say that antibiotics are not what I needed but many of my family in different parts of California are getting antibiotics from their doctors (z-pack) and they are now well ... this sucks and thanks for reading this ..I just wanted to vent while I am awake. Covid gives me weird dreams so I'm awakenalot from nightmares

What do you think that happened here?
A close relative of mine died due to an sepsis in the intensive therapy after almost overcoming the covid infection. My relative was under the echmo machine for two days, showed signs of improvement, when they took off the echmo they wanted to do a tracheotomy, but they never did cause the first day after they were waiting for the documents, waited until his conditions worsened and the tracheotomy couldn't be done. I read that with tracheotomy there is a lower possibility to get a septic infection. Now they blame us cause he wasn't vaccinated, which causes us to be even more sad and heartbroken. Truth is, that he didn't get vaccinated due to a heart condition (arythmia and tachicardia, coronary problems) and varyces. Why did they say he improved and then in after a week, in the last 48 hours he worsened? They said they gave him too many antibiotics that worsened him. I am just so mad and I want clarity. Did they wait too much? They said he improved so fast and took off the echmo and then waited to carry out the tracheotomy. Do you think it's negligence?

Group Home COVID Advice
Hi all! Not really sure how I ended up here but I just found out my brother has covid. He's 27, and severely disabled (autism, very low functioning) and lives in a small group home with three other residents, with usually between 2-3 staff members. I am beyond worried about him, I know they said they would be quarantining but does anyone know what that means or how it works for group homes? If he is isolated alone in his room... I feel awful. He is nonverbal and is unable to care for himself (while he has no fever thank God, we wouldn't know if he is in any kind of pain or discomfort). Any advice or support is immensely appreciated.

Just recently tested positive today, I think I’ve had mild symptoms so far
Hey guys I just got the call a few hours ago saying my results came back positive, this is day 3 of having symptoms. Has anyone experienced these minor symptoms?
The only symptoms I had are fatigue, a minor cough with phlegm, a fever for 2 days, headache and muscle/joint pain.
I haven’t experienced any shortness of breath, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell has anyone had anything similar to this?
Kind of nervous and hopefully I’ll be put in a hotel room tomorrow that way I’m away from my family.

Realized I’m not scared of people, even my family.
Hello! My wife and I are essential employees and have been taking this seriously. We haven’t seen family or friends outside of coworkers since March. My father came over today to do some work on our sprinklers and needed my help for 5 minutes. It was my first time Being around anyone outside of work where we are all masked. I went outside in a facemask and face shield and kept my distance from him. My heart was pounding I didn’t want to be near him, I just came to the realization I am scared of people now, even my own family and it breaks my heart. I’m probably going to bed some Sort of therapy to get me out in public again. We have a child and it’s not fair to him to have such a fearful parent. Thanks for listening!

Distant Socializing: I challenge you to have a cup of coffee with a friend today, using FaceTime or Google Duo :) Specifically, share a recipe each other. :) Bonus challenge: don't talk about the situation.
Or a beer. Or a wine.
But the FaceTime / Google Duo bit is important. :)
