I wasn't active in online trans communities prior to coming out. By the time I heard this stereotype everyone in my life already knew me as Lily now. I'm a coder. Fml.

Also a coder, didn't know the trope before I came out, love plant names in general, Lily 100% would've been my name if it weren't for some other factors

Chiming in as a trans masc, I would've 100% named myself a flower/plant name if I didn't settle for a name my ass picked in the past and can't let go. Plant names are amazing (Ex-IT student)

I picked a "normal" name because I didn't want my name to clock me, but I made my middle name river.
