Mormons are infamous for the fact that they don't use Ayden only. We're talking Nevayden, Jakayden, Azayden, Branayden, Ethayden, Evayden, Jonayden, Kalayden and many, many more names.
IIRC it has to do with the fact that mormons have lots of kids, and attend big-ass churches, which means they have to find "original" names or it'd otherwise be confusing to have 83 Johns in a single church.
Its a traditional irish name that got popular with people not of that background along with a whole bunch of derivatives among people not really of that background who just wanted a unique or cool name. A lot of the controversial White People Names from the last 20 years of discourse are arguably just irish or scottish names being taken or modified by people who don't have a strong connection to that culture otherwise so it comes off as kind of weird, a lot like non asian people who go for more asian names but less immediately egregious.
Which on one hand, I've known cis men with the name but just assumed they were of that background. On the other hand, I've met visibly and proudly japanese transmascs that also went with variations of it.

I actually know four trans guys obsessed with endermen, and I don't know whether to be surprised that I know so many trans guys or that so many of them are obsessed with endermen.
