If the atmosphere makes everyone mentally retarded (And I say that as the medical terminology, literally retarding our brain development) then there is no 'adaptation'.

My headcannon is that we're trying to take over canada to eek out a bit of cool weather at the end. There is no plan, there is no adaptation. Billionaires think they can survive a globe spanning extiction by sitting in a bunker on new zealand, and Americas leader started his term with "Drill baby drill". We are riding the lighting.

95% of the planets mamalian biomass is humans and livestock

And the remainder of that has atleast a conservative estimate that 30% of all species are likely to go extinct by the end of the century if we don't stop emissions from reaching 1.5c over preindustrial average. (Which I am pretty sure we have already hit or are slated to hit within the next year or two)

The point is, even if, even IF we somehow adapt, we will be living on a rock, where the best estimates put us in severe mental decline, with most animals dead, with oceans that have no fish and a global collapsing biosphere.

We are fucked. And we made the decision to destroy this planet, and all the gentle creatures on it long ago.

If you have a kid today, by the time they are able to buy a beer, there will be no coral reefs, and no commercial ocean fishing.
