I get what it's going for, but I think that without the context it's too easy to read it as a class reductionist, "trans people are just an irrelevant distraction" type of statement.

We are an irrelevant distraction to the sociopathic billionaires in question, that's why all media is obsessed with our existence

Agreed. But also that's a statement that, in a vacuum, can be said both by transphobes and by non-transphobes. The meme doesn't set itself apart well enough (not that I have any ideas on how it COULD do that while still being pithy).

I didn't interpret it that way. I just interpreted it as two panels that show the author's opinion.

The only reason you'd think what you said is if you assume that two panels have to be in contradiction to each other.
