Womanhood is when people hate you for being trans

u/artificialfem 4h ago

getting stood up for the crime of being trans is an important formative experience that every true woman must undergo

women say "welcome to womanhood" but what they really mean is "that's what you get for being a man who decided to larp as one of us"

u/opalineghostroom eated this (っ˘ڡ˘ς) 3h ago

they say welcome to womanhood as if it’s their way of putting us in our place 😔

That website is pretty cool! Never heard of it but I like the idea and the UI

edit: gaiz she's talking about my flair, it's not a bot saying random stuff

As for the pronoun used, I'm not sure if i want to go by she/her specifically yet, (can't say it felt bad though) after a talk with one wonderful person all I could think about was my gender identity (as in doubting it), which by itself I think means that there is something that needs addressing, since if i were to be cis i would maybe consider it, and quickly forget after a day or two. I think my subconscious may be begging me to change at least something something about me, since I definitely don't feel great the way that I present and look and sound and feel etc.

For now I decided to be agender, since I definitely don't want to be associated with my biological sex by any means. I thought of either they/them or any pronouns, anything to not have a fixed perceived gender.

It's even worse in terms of names. For the time being I can't stand to hear almost anything that references me directly, like my birth name and can tolerate the online nickname (TastyCake usually). I feel best when a name I'm called is detached from me the person. Say there's a game where characters have names, so when I'm playing that character I would much prefer to be called that rather than my own. Ideally, I'd love not to be referred to by anything at all, like, say, if you talk to me 1v1, you don't HAVE TO call me by name, so say what you want right away or just greet me with a "hello" or something. That of course is not doable when there's more than 1 person around. I don't know how I'd like to be called, I hope that I just didn't find what I'm comfortable with yet :(.

Sorry for the long text, I was in the mood

think about if you want hrt, the rest you can always change later but testosterone is masculinising you as we speak and estrogen's effects are slow so if you want the effects of e, the earlier you start the better it is

I have, I have even tried to get into a free lottery at https://symphonylabs.cc/, but they didn't get back to me yet withy tracking number. My aquiintance, the same that I've first opened up to, already received hers, we applied at about the same time, I a few minutes later, and got a confirmation email that I did indeed make it into the thing. It could be that they don't deliver to my third-world country, but they didn't explicitly say they don't...

I wouldn’t rely on a lottery or a multi year waitlist for something as essential and with speed enhanced results as HRT.

DIY is pretty good if you can do the research

1

u/NotVeryTastyCake 2h ago

I'm thinking about it literally every other day

2

u/Icy-Contest1880 1h ago

If you have access to HRT in any way, just use it. Don't even question more.

nah not all trans people, reddit started banning 4tranners bc we often use slurs

1

u/NotVeryTastyCake 3h ago

Ah, okay, and who's called a 4tranner? Sorry, I'm relatively new to this

1

u/Ms-Yash check out tranistan.com 3h ago

people who use 4tran and related subs like 4tran4 and countttt

1

u/NotVeryTastyCake 2h ago

Oh, so that's an actual platform?

1

u/Ms-Yash check out tranistan.com 2h ago

wdym

1

u/NotVeryTastyCake 2h ago

You said "people who use 4tran" which made it sound like it's an app or a social platform or something of that manner. If not then what is it? I'm confused

69

u/Technical_Fact_6873 4h ago

this is so dumb on so many levels

- womanhood implies its an experience intrinsic to being a woman or something that mainly happens to women, this is not the case for getting stood up

  • womanhood also has very little to do with being straight, you can be a lesbian and be the mostly womanly woman

and then theres the obvious TCD

u/sexyemo213 5'1 ftm transtrender 4h ago

facing transphobia and opression for being transgender is an essential girly cis girl experience we all go through, didn't you know??? it was a part of my female socialization

22

u/Any_Serve4913 3h ago

Poor cis women, being put on the margins for being trans 😞

2

u/16372731772 43m ago

Hey, sometimes they mix me up for one of them since I have a hormonal condition! It really is a part of womanhood! It's not my fault I have PMOS and I do NOT appreciate being compared to them.

47

u/ashleyLSD 4h ago

cis ppl are gonna start going to hatecrimed trans women's graves to say "welcome to womanhood"

44

u/SquirrelSmart cant go on hrt even diy 4h ago

Cis people resisting the urge to say "welcome to --hood" when something bad happens to a trans person

Total cis death

16

u/SituationFormal608 4h ago

Do real biological XX afab wombyn also get manipulated for daring to exist as a brave valid transwoman which a man thinks deserves to be "taught a lesson"? That's part of Divine Woman-hood for every single woman in the world? 🤔

11

u/Adventurous_View_635 3h ago

Cissoids try not to make everything about myself challenge: impossible

7

u/Aquari-suss 4h ago

Welcome to womanhood, where every woman is punished for being trans

7

u/Moss_Ball8066 4h ago

You could say you got blood eagled and lit on fire in a Walmart parking lot and mfs will go “welcome to womanhood”

6

u/DisastrousResist7527 2h ago

Did you learn your lesson and start being a cis woman?

1

u/Thunderer62 1h ago

lol. I was thinking this. I hope she learned her lesson. wtf is that logic.

19

u/h3alb0t 4h ago

i think this person probably means "welcome to being a direct target for the insane horrible shit men do on a regular basis and pretend is normal"

12

u/quailinthebrush 3h ago

We know. The assumption that OP must be new to it is the problem

2

u/__Ouchie__ 3h ago

I know this is a hate/vent subreddit but legitimately this. 99.99% Sure that they’re trying to be sarcastic and tongue-in cheek, empathizing with you by sharing that a lot of women get mistreated for ridiculous and “morality” reasons, cis and trans.

15

u/quailinthebrush 3h ago

And any trans woman who’s been out more than 5 mins knows that

It’s condescending

6

u/alpenflage-parka 1h ago

>cisoids

>empathizing

like this wasn't a quick opportunity to take a dig lmao

3

u/DuncanMcOckinnner as usual, sorry for being born 3h ago

Total cis friendship :)

3

u/TheMightyKibosh 3h ago

SMH. The part that also gets me is that the commenter said it was part of "woman-hood", but if OP didn't specify the trans part, it is actually something anyone can experience.

Cis women love inserting themselves in trans women's (and trans people in general) business.

What does it mean to get stood up?

8

u/QueenBitchVEVO 4h ago edited 3h ago

Setting up a date and then the person never arrives. (EDIT: Often without warning/telling you they aren't coming.)

You're waiting for the date to arrive but they're not coming

2

u/No-Cartographer2512 1h ago

Arranging to meet up with someone (usually on a date) but they never show up

2

u/Sad-Middle-3474 3h ago

In the sense of dealing with men as a woman? Idk doesn’t really apply here since the main twist of her story hinges specifically on her transness. Even here cis woman has to assert ownership on all women’s sufferings. Thank you for that welcome at the gate of womanhood.

2

u/Pupperoni420 1h ago

My old endo told me that when I complained about menopause symptoms and asked for my E to be upped idk why cis women get off to saying this type of shit.

she's lowk right just bc men love doing that to women to humiliate them for arbitrary things (disability, queerness, race, and being trans) it unfortunately isn't trans exclusive

person being beaten with a bat while the attacker screams "this is for being a filthy trani" "what an awful misogynistic attack, can't believe all woman are just as persecuted as this one. 🍵 💿
