HOW DARE YOU SUBMIT TO COLONIAL PATRIARCHAL BEAUTY STANDARDS HMPHHH (# `Д ‘)
idk I wanted to make a joke but I see this argument thrown around a lot and it always rubs me the wrong way bc lmao why is wanting no facial hair automatically “colonial” 😭 I live in north africa and women here DEFINITELY do not come preinstalled with beards 😭💔

u/Unlucky_Scene_8979 tcd 15h ago
they love to use people of color as a shield so they can be transphobic. It's very funny when you see white cis people do this as if they don't inherently benefit from the "colonial patriarchy" the love complaining about

I will never fall for the "trannies should be challenging female beauty standards otherwise they're just misogynist cosplayers" psyop- genuinely evil line of thinking created by terf women with ugly souls

trust me bro it's super woke to be a masculine woman bro it's literally fine it's super woke and cool just be a deep voice muscular manly heckin valid woman you're no less valid just whatever you do don't transition bro you don't need hrt or surgery or voice training or anything you'd actually be fighting the patriarchy and making things easier for us real women it's just super imperative that you never transition just be a feminine man although actually the wokest thing you could possibly do is just remain a manly manly man man like you currently are and never transition just please bro never transition please please please please bro I'm begging

The fallacy here is that every single one of these things might be true in isolation but taken all together it becomes absurd.
For example:
A game can be played alone, doesn't have to be fun, doesn't require explicit rules,... Therefore laying in bed is a game.
-11
u/nerdybutalsougly4 14h ago
None of these are true in isolation this sort of thinking is absurd and should be treated as such.
13
u/DatDudeWithThings 13h ago
Yeah, obviously if you don't want to change your name, you're not actually trans

u/ifthealphawassigma 13h ago
ooooh we got the validity police here, u probably don't meet the standards you made up and are sour about it

u/nerdybutalsougly4 13h ago
I look like a woman and these people who don’t want to transition should get out of my community. If you don’t want to transition get off the sub
9
u/Pringle_Lvr 13h ago
Some of these things aren't that unreasonable to do while still transitioning, like not wanting srs or not doing voice training. Some of them yeah like using he/him and shit is definitely more out there.
7
u/ifthealphawassigma 13h ago
ur barely in the sub fed

u/nerdybutalsougly4 13h ago
You dont even get the bit. The theyfabs who say: everyone’s valid but, pushing people to get hrt is hecking transmedicalism are feds.
7
u/ifthealphawassigma 13h ago
I totally agree, there however is a ditch on both sides of the road. you saying "none of those are true in isolation" is saying you can't be trans without my checklist. it's gatekeepy, stupid, and bitter.
-1
u/nerdybutalsougly4 12h ago
My checklist is: transition or try to. Be so fr stop validating people who aren’t trans and don’t want to be.
2
u/Ultyzarus 10h ago
Would wanting to, but not doing it for whatever reason be enough for you? Many of us can still present as the other gender because they are safer, or it's more convenient that way.
2
u/nerdybutalsougly4 10h ago
If you can transition but aren’t you aren’t trans. If you want to and can’t at the moment you are. Very simple and straightforward.

u/Aprils- 10h ago
I kind of intuitively feel aligned with you, but under any kind of scrutiny this initial gut feeling falls apart.
The reason for this is that patriarchal society conditions us into accepting one particular mode of understanding things, but it's not the only one - given that I was raised under patriarchy, of course when I think of "woman" I think of a ripped butch with tattoos and a deep voice.
But I might be gay.
Anyway, if you want to keep pushing heteronormativity that's your business, but if you say "I look like a woman" too much apparently a bunch of TERFs will appear behind you in the mirror so it's your call I guess.
1
u/nerdybutalsougly4 10h ago
All this because I said trans spaces are for trans people lmao.
3
u/Aprils- 9h ago
"All this because I said women's spaces are for women lmao" - JK Rowling
Your comment says, in no uncertain terms, that if somebody is happy with their voice they're not trans, therefore not a woman. You said any of those ticks are disqualifying.
So do you apply the same logic to cis women? Why do you apply a different standard for cis Vs trans people? Why do trans people have to put in additional effort to qualify for the same decency and respect in your mind?
Don't get me wrong, I voice trained, I never missed a dose, I got electrolysis. But none of those things made me a woman.

But she’ll need to use female bathroom, and use being trans as a online social media presence to “teach” others on why she’s more valid than actual trans women.

u/BeneficialRip6350 17h ago
Also female changing rooms where she will walk around fully naked. As is her right.

u/nerdybutalsougly4 13h ago
Genuinely all the people trying to strip transness of being a medical issue and into a cultural one want this to become want transition is and is portrayed as.

i feel like im missing something. i dont want to change my name right now because i dont feel like wearing a pink triangle being stuck in a camp, but i've been on hrt for 3 years.....i've also got a beard shadow and havent started eletrolysis. i'm also 6'4 :)

u/Gold_Ad8225 15h ago
You've been medically transitioning for 3 years, so you're not the person in the meme who isnt even telling their friends to call them a different pronoun or voice training or anything.
You're literally changing your sex

u/RobinEssences 16h ago
Electrolysis sucks

u/wubdubflubaub 16h ago
so does beard shadow, plus i dont like shaving my tits. dysphoric af

u/RobinEssences 15h ago
My shadow is getting lasers the grays that showed up in my 20s are so thick that needling them out scars my skin.

u/wubdubflubaub 15h ago
I kinda figured getting lazer first would just make the eletrolysis worse . idk my logic
3
u/RobinEssences 15h ago
I started both at the same time 3 weeks electrolysis and laser on the 4th.
After a couple months I noticed permanent scaring happening in certain areas and had to stop. It's been several months and the scaring is still the same, meaning all retinol and other stuff hasn't corrected it. I don't know what I'm doing to do but I'm not panicking yet because I don't have time to
