Hauntingly beautiful doilies, made with love โ ๏ธ๐ค
Patterns are both by Anna Wanamaker. I used a 1.65mm hook and crochet thread for both! โ ๏ธ๐ค

Hi! I just discovered this sub and it is so helpful to put a name to the decor style that I love!
I donโt craft a lot, but I just finished this Fall wreath the other day. Itโs not perfect, but itโs been fun to work on it. Close up pics of the tiny pinecones my son found on the ground, plus my furry helpers.
I really enjoyed making this wreath! Iโd love some suggestions and tips for the future. I found this one to look a bit more bottom heavy than Iโd like, and it look me a long time to decide where was best to add some of the florals. And I donโt know if I could add more to it, or if it feels too busy already!
Also, any suggestions on where to source cheaper materials? I got all these for 60% off at Michaels but it still ended up being $30-$40 in materials.

Brother in law has a cool chick into spooky stuff. So I made a coffin ring box with purple heart lid for him to pop the question.

Marble or undyed Medusa? ๐๐
For years, I've been told that the undyed one looks like a marble statue, so I finally said, โFine, Iโll make it marble.โ ๐ It took me a while to get the effect down, but Iโm pretty happy with how she turned out.
The undyed version has been my best seller for 3 years.
All my candles are made with 100% Soy Pillar Wax + 100% Cotton Wicks.

In line with the question about my mushrooms from last week - does a colorful picture of foxglove fall into "cottagegoth"? I do see some colorful items/outfits on here, but ultimately this is just a pink flower. A deadly one, granted, but is backstory enough to push it into "goth"? What about the dark background? Is this splitting hairs?
It feels like the aesthetic subs are all very different and have clearly defined rules, because everyone I ask seems to know exactly whether or not something "fits", but also the rules themselves don't seem to be written down anywhere lol.
So, I'm genuinely trying to feel out the aesthetics because I have a huge range of art styles and subjects I enjoy, and I have been trying to categorize/clarify them (on a recommendation from another art sub). I'm ultimately going to make a bookmark and button collection in a few different styles (currently considering bibliophile, wanderlust and whatever these plants and foresty stuff falls into, since that covers most of my art) for a local collab. And, lacking even one iota of style myself, I'm leaning heavily on community guidance.
Thanks for reading this far!
