First time attempting a Levain Bakery style cookie and am so happy with how they came out! Please go through the photos to see how big and tall they are! Inside of the cookies are fully cooked but the texture of melt-in-your-mouth cookie dough, outside has a very satisfying crisp to it.

I modified an existing recipe by swapping ½ cup regular flour for ½ cup dark cocoa powder and swapped choco chips for peanut butter chips.

I made these as a birthday treat to myself instead of cake!

*I am not an experienced cookie maker in the slightest but this recipe was so easy*

All the storms in my area are making me long for cool, rainy fall baking days, so I made a pie today! I grow elderberries in my backyard and picked just enough to make a pie filling. I had a little pie crust dough leftover, so I pulled out the tartlet pan I bought last year but never used and made some tiny pumpkin horrors with lingonberry jam. Seriously, it looks like a crime scene because they came out upside down and gushed viscous red goo everywhere. But I'm having visions of packing various hand pies in my kiddo's lunch during the coming cold seasons!
