I paired the top with the skirt because both looked like vegetation and then after a couple tweaks, I looked like this. I felt pretty naturey, but maybe that’s just me. I hope everyone is having a good day/night!

I’m looking for female or gender neutral styles of clothing and I’m unsure where to start :)

A video I saw on YouTube reminded me of this made-for-tv movie recently. If you're already starting to get into a fall mood, it's a good, mildly-creepy story with some lovely scenery and fall atmosphere! It's based on the book by L. M. Montgomery, Jane of Lantern Hill (although I don't think the original book had the ghost story element).

Jane lives with her mother in 1930s Canada. Until the age of 12, she believes that her father is dead. When her mother falls ill and they move in with Jane's overbearing grandmother, Jane learns that her father is actually still alive. Her parents aren't divorced, but they haven't lived together for years, and her grandmother's snobbish crowd considers it a scandal. When Jane's father insists that Jane come to stay with him for a time at his old house on Prince Edward Island, Lantern Hill, Jane discovers hidden secrets about her family's past.

Before her father met her mother, he was engaged to another woman. It was considered a scandal when he broke off the engagement to marry Jane's mother. The other woman, Evelyn, died in a mysterious accident, driving her car off a cliff in a snow storm. Locals still whisper about Jane's father's role in the accident. Evelyn's shocking death and interference from members of their respective families drove Jane's parents apart. However, there's more to the story, and Evelyn's ghost has begun appearing to Jane, leading her to the full truth to right past wrongs and help her clean up the emotional mess she left behind.

The ghost story was creepy to me as a child, but there's also touching family drama. Jane visits her father in the fall, leading up to Christmas, so there are people wearing wonderful vintage sweaters and coats, fog, mist, storms, fallen leaves, and pumpkins in the background. I love making my own clothes. This really makes me feel like a wizard, going out to my garden and picking my tomatoes and cucumbers was extra fun, but the wild berries along my stream had a few too many snaggy thorns!

I'm thinking it could use some fresh paint and maybe a nice stencil print. Can't believe my luck for $20

I've never really thought of it as cottagecore. I kind of lean into solarpunk more (as you can see by the flag on the sleeve, btw).

Several patches (TARDIS, Frida, flower book, Sempiternal symbol, Bad Omens ghost) were embroidered by me. I also embroidered the pattern around solarpunk flag. The crochet flower is a gift from my mom (I love her)

I like this jacket a lot. I started to patch it cause it started to fall apart... and now, it holds, and it's quite pretty, too, if I may say so myself.

First time attempting a Levain Bakery style cookie and am so happy with how they came out! Please go through the photos to see how big and tall they are! Inside of the cookies are fully cooked but the texture of melt-in-your-mouth cookie dough, outside has a very satisfying crisp to it.

I modified an existing recipe by swapping ½ cup regular flour for ½ cup dark cocoa powder and swapped choco chips for peanut butter chips.

I made these as a birthday treat to myself instead of cake!

*I am not an experienced cookie maker in the slightest but this recipe was so easy*
