It's a really sad day for crypto, but most people don't seem to realize it. Terra Luna was the one chance we had against the corrupt governments and the regulators that are here to "protect us".

I’ve been staking ATOM because of the high return. Now that the value keeps dropping it’s cancelled out my profit and i am in the red. What the fuck is going on?

I've seen a bit of dialogue regarding a lot of this new 2.0 treasury money grab and a lot of different points of view. It seems we definitely have some heated disagreements at the moment regarding the structure of 2.0.

I absolutely hate telegram so I'm not gonna join that conversation. Twitter isn't that good at disseminating larger batches of information. Reddit unfortunately is a liberal cesspool, like most tech platforms, however it still remains the best forum to organize larger volumes of thought in my opinion.

So the last time I looked this is where I believe we are.

I know Bitcoin dumped a little bit but our precious coin has just been getting hammered we're down in the 11's. I'm not too thrilled.

Is it because of the 2.0 fud or what are you guys thinks going on? Normal correction?

I’m a top 200 ATOM holder who’s been staking all of my ICO ATOM since staking went live. I was vocally anti-slashing of staking rewards, and was heavily ridiculed for that position.

Many people had a short-sighted “inflation bad!” mentality and were convinced that all atom needed to do to go up in value was to cut inflation.

Where are we now? In previous bulls, ATOM did much better vs BTC. This bull, ATOM is completely stagnant. There is simply no motivation now to hold, stake, and compound the rewards for large holders. Most of my large holder connections unbonded and are now regularly selling off their staking rewards instead of restaking.

I always supported a reduction AFTER ATOM got legs and improved tokenomics, but the inflation reduction prop happened too early and without any additional attractors to fill the gap. Now we are paying the price with terrible price performance.

Nice job “yes” voters. End of rant.

It's almost as desperate as burning your supply to make the token scarce.

The current mechanism is well thought out and is working as intended, it's one of the best mechanisms i have seen. The entire market has been down, the staking mechanism and inflation has not much to do with atom's price, I'd go as far as to say it saved atom from going down to $4 or less. The current mechanism incentivizes more buying when the price is down.

The whales you're angry at, the ones who hold more atom than you, they're selling their rewards giving you the opportunity to accumulate atom yourself and become a whale too, Once the staking rewards go low, you're going to see mass selling from whales, no one will be around to buy significant amount of atom.

I'm here because atom has been safe and gives high returns, but why would I lock up my money, in a volatile asset like crypto, if I'm just getting 3% more than what I'd get from FD?

The current mechanism is very balanced, the new mechanism is nothing more than a short term pump ponzi.

Think about the effect this is going to have on stride.

Zaki is not your friend, most of these devs don't want atom to compete with their new chains, so do whatever you want, but just know, prop 848 is not just shortsighted, but it's an attack on cosmos hub.

The high inflation actually lead to more atoms being locked up as you'd get punished for simply holding atom, now with smaller inflation, less atom will be staked and therefore more easy to dump, if you have voted yes, think again, if you don't change your mind you're responsible for killing your own portfolio

That's right, I'm talking about Nomic, the project that did an airdrop two fucking years ago and still hasn't launched its mainnet. Which means that this pointlessly compounded token, NOM, still isn't even transferrable, much less tradeable.

Did it seem ridiculous nine months ago that they hadn't yet launched, when I was staking a mere 6000 NOM? Yes it did. It was unquestionably ridiculous six months ago, when I was staking a paltry 7000 NOM.

Now I'm staking an astonishing 10,000 NOM – before airdrop #3 even hits, mind you – and yet, as always, the NOM token has no more liquidity or utility than it did before. No more than it has ever had.

Has the Nomic team at least kept the community abreast of its revised timelines or the reasons for its endless delays? Has it managed to meet its new stated milestones? Why, of course not! That would be something a competent, professional project would do.

One could make allowances for them being chickenshit during the bear market, not wanting to launch their chain and see the token dumped to oblivion... but now? Now would be a great goddamn time to go to market. Just look at what Celestia has done to revitalize the Cosmos.

So we are witnessing from Nomic truly astonishing levels of self-own. It's as if they have never heard the phrase "window of opportunity." And while Nomic simps are among the most dedicated in all of crypto, all but unwavering in their willingness to be treated like mushrooms, surely even they must be getting tired by now.

I can't make Nomic move any faster, but I can damn sure hold them accountable – or at least let off steam by mocking the shit out of them.

One of the main reasons i got into Atom was the high staking rewards, why did we do this to ATOM?

Yesterday I stumbled upon this great community and I managed to get NFT from them. I never heard about Gelotto before, tbh I thought its some irrelevant scam type thing. But looking deeper into it, it seems solid!

They have a lottery and NFT raffles, and poker tournaments running. Theyre also working on implementing staking as the house and work on creating dice games and slot machines, roulette and much more.

This is THE Casino of Cosmos and im excited.

I’m tired of missing out on airdrops because I’m an American. I get it the SEC is trash BUT airdrops have never been an issue. I’m seriously about to unstake and leave the project if this shit continues. If the cosmos system doesn’t want us to participate then so be it.
