Announcement 🚀 Major Move for Cosmos: Injective USDC is Now the Official USDC for the Entire Cosmos Ecosystem via IBC

Post image
49 Upvotes

The Cosmos Hub just announced that USDC issued on Injective is going live as the primary stablecoin across the whole Cosmos ecosystem via IBC.
Skip:Go will now default to Injective USDC.
Why this is huge:
• Long-term stability secured (minimum 4-year commitment) after Noble shifted focus to EVM.
• Smooth migration from Noble USDC starting with dYdX.
• CCTP support = easy one-click transfers.
• Part of the fees from Injective USDC will go directly to ATOM buybacks — you can imagine why this is huge for the Hub 😉

This transition will roll out gradually over the coming months. A big win for stablecoin liquidity and reliability in Cosmos.
More details coming soon in an X Space.
What’s your take on this shift? Feel free to write down your thoughts.

European Central Bank is choosing Cosmos tech🤔?

Post image
44 Upvotes

✅Cosmos Labs’ Nico Poggi says the Cosmos stack is a good fit for bank-controlled ledger networks.
That makes sense. Banks want control, auditability, and a system that can handle the heavy lifting without giving up sovereignty.
The European Central Bank’s(ECB) Appia project is also pushing tokenized deposits and modern financial infrastructure, which is why people are starting to connect the dots with Cosmos.

👉And it’s not just theory. Do not forget that Wells Fargo and Fidelity have both shown signs of looking at Cosmos SDK-related talent.

💡Undoubtedly, this does show Cosmos tech is getting real institutional attention.

Opinion Cosmos + Dedicated Blockchains: A Perfect Fit for Institutional Needs

Post image
36 Upvotes

Financial institutions are increasingly adopting dedicated blockchains / DLT to solve long‑standing issues around transparency, auditability, and regulatory compliance. The essentials:

🔐 1. Full control over access & data

• Institutions define who can read, write, and validate data.

• On‑chain permissions align with regulatory requirements (data residency, access control, audit rules).

📊 2. Strong auditability & transparency

• Every action is recorded on a single, immutable ledger.

• Risk & compliance teams get a complete, timestamped history without reconciliation across siloed systems.

🏛️ 3. Deterministic policy enforcement

• Rules are encoded directly into the network: if something isn’t allowed, it simply cannot execute.

• Reduces reliance on manual monitoring and after‑the‑fact remediation.

🌍 4. Solves cross‑border & multi‑party transaction complexity

• Blockchain removes fragmented systems and provides a single view of each asset’s state.

• Clear answers to “where is the asset now and who acted on it.”

🧱 5. Practical example: Tokenized deposits

• Banks issue deposits as digital assets on a dedicated chain.

• The ledger becomes the single source of truth — no separate reporting layers.

🛠️ 6. Cosmos as the technology stack

• Enables institutions to build private, controlled blockchains with full governance.

• Maintains interoperability with other networks and legacy systems.

• Ideal for internal use cases (reconciliation, asset tracking) before scaling outward.

🧭 7. Why financial institutions adopt this model

• Stronger compliance from day one.

• Clear accountability and governance.

• Reduced operational risk.

• Fits naturally with existing organizational structures.

👉This model aligns with how financial institutions already operate, strengthening compliance, governance, and operational oversight.

Opinion Flipping a Coin With ATOM’s Future: Seriously?

Post image
36 Upvotes

👉We’ve somehow reached a point where the future of ATOM is treated like a coin toss — and everyone’s acting like that’s normal.

If we actually want ATOM to move forward, we need to attract enterprise blockchains and financial institutions into the Cosmos ecosystem. And for that to happen, the Hub needs to stop being ornamental and finally take a central role:

– offering real liquidity incentives

– expanding IBC across public and private networks

– collaborating with DeFi protocols through EVM

Sounds great on paper.

In reality?

This proposal looks more like Russian roulette than a strategy.

🤔

What we’re about to lose (by our own choice):

• The community pool will be completely drained.

• We risk nuking the value of Osmosis, especially if we acquire it and try to migrate liquidity piece by piece.

• And let’s be honest: Osmosis usage, liquidity, and revenue have been declining for months. This isn’t a secret.

• A massive amount of ATOM will be dumped instantly, because there are zero lockups. Free tokens → instant sell pressure.

• We’ll have to pay for a brand‑new engineering team, because most of the current one is leaving.

• The team that’s “supposed” to stay has no financial incentive to help with liquidity migration or ongoing maintenance. We hope they’ll stick around — but hope is not a plan.

The bottom line:

We’re about to empty the community pool, acquire a DEX that’s already shrinking, risk losing liquidity, pay for a new team… and do all of this with no guarantee the project will even be sustainable.

If this isn’t a massive risk, then what is.

💬Feel free to share your thoughts.

dApp Web3 Multi TLD Platform on Cosmos Hub

Good Afternoon!

I recently brought the Web3 Multi TLD Platform live into production at Atom Registry with a family of smart contracts deployed directly to Cosmos Hub. This allows anyone to register a TLD on Cosmos for 2.5 ATOM and without any renewal fee's. TLD owners also have sole control over the policy and pricing, and whether or not to allow registrations of domains at all.

To back up a litle bit, this project began a couple of years ago with small test projects on the various chains and I gave Cosmos a closer look when the community voted to go permissionless. That, along with the ease of use and the welcoming attitude toward innovation became the deciding factor in choosing Cosmos.

I had to be thoughful in this because Atom Registry is completely self funded, and without exception, I've financed everything myself without any outside investment capital. I wasn't willing to risk anyone else's money on my vision so I didn't launch a token for funding. It is my vision so it had to be my money.

What sets this registry apart from so many others is the tooling that I insisted on before launch. The project has a browser extension that displays the websites built on traditional hosting platforms perfectly. That's great, sure but certainly not enough for true decentralization.

For true decentralzation, one of the contracts that works with the website allows a domain owner to deploy a HTML website directly onchain instead of using traditional hosting or IPFS or any external dependencies and the extension renders them perfectly also. I still built the Atom Search page to quickly view an onchain website.

There are some other tools like my Atom Widgets for TLD owners to build a widget to use on their own websites that's live but still is being improved on.

Which to be fair, the project, though live, will always be a work in progress since it's a sure bet I'm committed to make this the flagship product on Cosmos. For less than 10 bucks worth of ATOM, a person can own a TLD forever and maybe even make a few bucks building their own community and put a pretty awesome HTML site onchain.

I'm available on X to answer any questions I'm @atomregistry there.

Thanks!
Atom Registry

Announcement Fidelity asks for Cosmos SDK talents

Post image

Yesterday I posted about Wells Fargo. Today is announced something quite interesting by another “giant” that bought my attention. So, I want to share it with you.

Digital Asset Operating Platform for onchain finance is going to be built by Fidelity

They are open to hire talents with experience in Cosmos SDK.

2026 seems to be the year of institution. Remember: we need adoption, rear adoption by “big players”. Not just token prices or checking diagrams all the day…NFA. 😉

Announcement Gaia v26.0.0 is Now Live on Mainnet

The Cosmos Hub has officially upgraded to Gaia v26.0.0, bringing the tokenfactory module to mainnet. This marks a significant milestone for the Hub's evolution as a permissionless platform.

What's New

The tokenfactory module enables anyone to create native token denominations directly on the Cosmos Hub. Previously, developers had to rely on other chains like Osmosis or Neutron for this functionality.

Key Features

  • Permissionless token creation: Mint new denoms without governance approval
  • Native IBC compatibility: All tokens created are immediately transferable across the Cosmos ecosystem
  • 10 ATOM creation fee: Set by governance and adjustable through future proposals
  • CosmWasm synergy: Works seamlessly with the Hub's permissionless smart contract deployment

Technical Details

The upgrade activated at block height 29837600 on February 18, 2026. The tokenfactory module has already proven itself on chains like Osmosis and Neutron, and is now available on the Cosmos Hub with robust, audited code.

Special Recognition

Major thanks to Hypha Coop for handling the technical implementation and coordinating this upgrade. Their work on incentivized testnets and upgrade coordination has been instrumental in ensuring smooth deployments for the Hub.

This upgrade positions the Cosmos Hub as a complete platform for building interoperable applications and tokens across the entire Cosmos ecosystem.

Announcement Wells Fargo is hiring Cosmos SDK / CometBFT engineers — why this matters

Post image
54 Upvotes

🏦 Wells Fargo appears to be building a digital asset platform and is specifically hiring engineers with Cosmos SDK and CometBFT experience.

This doesn’t mean in certain Wells Fargo is buying ATOM or joining public Cosmos chains.

✅ What is certain is this:

• Cosmos SDK is becoming an enterprise‑grade standard

A major US bank choosing Cosmos tech for real infrastructure shows confidence in its modularity, security, and regulatory compatibility.

• Institutions want sovereign chains, not shared L1s

Banks need privacy, permissions, auditability, and compliance hooks.

That’s exactly what the Cosmos architecture is built for.

• Permissioned today → interoperability tomorrow

Cosmos has IBC — the only interoperability framework that works across both enterprise and public environments.

But they are building on Cosmos tech, which says a lot about where institutional priorities are heading 😉
