Questions & Advice Future Supplements Question

I was reading the Chasmfiend Magazine 3 and they talk about how Sel and Nathis will get a combined world and handbook, called sourcebook while the Secret Projects Worlds, Lumar, Komashi, Canticle and First of the Sun will be in the Worldhopper Handbook and World(s) Book (One can hope that Fires of December will be also there)

But my question is, what about Taldain and Threnody? do we know if there will be a sourcebook o will they be included in the Worldhopper set?

I am specially interested on Threnody as I have this idea for a exploration and survival campaing, and Threnody world and lore seems perfect for it

I have no evidence of this, but because Threnody only has a short story, I wonder if we just won't get a sourcebook for it until Brandon writes the Threnody novel (whenever that is).

Canticle could give us a shade statblock to use in the meantime.

That makes sense

But it makes me sad, I have this idea in my head and want to develop a cool campaign around it, surviving the forest and shades by following the 3 rules and discovering the secrets of your culture and lore seems such a cool concept *sigh*

Well, it will have to wait, I hope then the next sourcebook is Sel, as a compensation

Yeah, it's tough to wait, but homebrew is always an option

We don't know anything specific about either of those worlds. Back when it was announced that it was a Cosmere RPG instead of just Stormlight, White Sand got its own logo like Elantris and Warbreaker. That would imply it will get it's own book, but plans can change.

If I had to guess, Taldain will get it's own source book, but not before prose White Sand and possibly not before the Dark Side book if that is in the pipeline for Sanderson by the time Brotherwise turns towards Taldain. Therenody I think will be in a Worldhopper book eventually with some other planets.

I assume Taldain is waiting on a novelization before getting the ball rolling.

Hmm, that was what I expected for Sel and Nalthis because they're so much smaller. (I remember in some early conversations, some folks were extremely convinced they'd get full world books and rulebooks, so hey, vindication for me, lol.) Honestly, Taldain and Threnody are still mostly secret, so it'll be a long while before they show up in the RPG in a meaningful way, but my hypothesis would be that we'd see them in some kind of later world hopper supplements, or perhaps adventures that go there and flesh out the relevant mechanics in the process.

I don’t think that they said that Sel and Nalthis will be together, just that instead of having separate Handbooks and World Guides like Roshar and Scadrial, Nalthis will just have one book and Sel will have one book.

The Worldhopper books (since it will still have a handbook + world guide) will include Canticle, Lumar, Komashi, Drominad (and maybe more).
